1. No. You can't destroy the Geneforges the way you could in previous games. 2. Yes, it's possible to remain fairly neutral. There will be two times where you can't continue forward until you complete a major quest for either the Shapers or the Rebels. But if you complete one quest for one side and the other quest for the other side, both sides will still deal with you. But you will have to pick either the Rebel, Shaper, or Trakovite ending to finish the game. 3. No, you can do either. The Shapers will be more forgiving of you getting the caravan to safety than the Rebels will of you betraying it in terms of reputation, though. I don't know if there's one scenario that can replace VotDT in terms of size, but two or three beginner's scenarios would probably amount to the same thing. If not, there's always TM's Artifacts Hall. :P Dikiyoba. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Is this for G1 or G2? It sounds like G1, in which case you can only trade with him if you ask him how you could get the money for passage before you pay him off. If you didn't, you're out of luck. Yes, it's a very good idea not to destroy friendly towns/encampments unless given a quest to do so or at the very end of the game, lest you screw up the plot or miss out on other quests. I've also found it best to do everything else I want to do in the Forsaken Lands and then take on Shaila, but I don't think Southforge evacuates until you actually meet the caravan at the Sinkhole Bridge. Originally by Azuma: quote:Or you could just go directly to his house. The innkeeper gives some hints as to what's up but she's not a necessary step. Eh... appearance aside, it's still a pretty generic battle creation, just one with bonus AP and stronger attacks. Even the name is generic. Dikiyoba. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

That says "reality show" more than "movie" to me. Of course, for all Dikiyoba knows, a DDR-based reality show already exists. It wouldn't be at all surprising. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Probably, but I've gone in that way first before and I don't remember it. Hmm. I bet I've gone in through the mudpits to confront Shaila without Greenfang (but with one of my own artilas), then picked up Greenfang right before I walked Shaila to the docks. That's probably why I got the message when I shouldn't have. Dikiyoba. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Originally by CrouchingOwl: quote:I usually trigger this message while I'm clearing the Docks zone before ever encountering Shaila. As such, Greenfang is nervous because it senses her for the first time and isn't entirely sure how to respond. That's the explanation that seems most sensible to me, and I think the message appearing after meeting Shaila is a goof up. Edit: In fact, Dikiyoba just checked the Boiling Mudpits zone script. The same Greenfang-is-anxious message is there too, but for some reason never triggers. Trakovites are only against Shaping new life forms, so creatures that can reproduce naturally (like serviles) and magic are okay. They are also okay with ending Shaping gradually, so your ability to Shape creations won't be restricted in any way. You can play whichever class you prefer. The best ending you're going to get as a Trakovite is if you play pro-Rebel. You can't ever officially join the Trakovites, but if you talk to the right people, they'll tell you what to do to get the Trakovite ending. The first person is in Dillame. Are we suppose to answer which challenge section was hardest or our favorite? I thought G2 was the hardest because I didn't particularily like it and so didn't have the stomach for any reloads. G1's challenge section was probably my favorite. Matala felt like more of a challenge than the Titan. As usual, Dikiyoba has not played G3 and therefore cannot comment on it. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |

Let's see... Episode 3 had 41 chapters divided into 9 parts. They were probably shorter than Episode 4's chapters. Episode 3 was the longest by a fair amount and Episode 2 was the shortest. The totals were something like 33000, 27000, and 55000 words. Episode 4 is currently at 23295 words, more or less. Slartucker complied a bunch of Episode-related information here. And the total death count for this update was 5. The total permanant, onstage death count for actual members in the entire episode is 15, plus 3 deaths of Tyranicus that were only mentioned and 2 temporary deaths of Lazarus. Given that I was hitting so many errors I was unable to post about an hour ago, I'd say no. Originally by Arancaytar: quote:Dikiyoba was under the impression that the length of posts mattered more than the number of posts. So perhaps locking threads of mostly long posts (like debate threads and RPs) at 400 posts but letting threads of mostly short posts (like the What have you been reading lately? thread) go until 600 or 750 posts would work too. Whatever is easier for you. -------------------- Episode 4: Spiderweb Reloaded Posts: 4346 | Registered: Friday, December 23 2005 08:00 |
