I think the creation of those increments had something more to do with the actual value of things, for example a farthing may be what a loaf of bread cost, while a pound of cheese may cost a thrupence. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Sure, if it's a legitimate topic everyone tends to leave it alone, unless they have something to say. I will admit that there are those who are not so respecting of the innocent topics. However, if this is meant as a total warning to stop posting pics unless absolutely necessary, well, let's just say that'll put a cramp into this year's Historical Competition. So it's swift justice for the not so swift? Puns aside, what is with the recent aggresion kick from the moderating end of the boards? It's almost as if, ever since Drakey deigned to show up, y'all been operating a zero-tolerance policy. And I don't just mean spam, I mean anything that could be flagged up if you twisted the CoC heavily, has been flagged up. So, why? We all seemed perfectly happy before hand. Minor infractions and moderate spam was ignored. And larger infractions were dealt with fairly. Why change it? Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Happy Fun Ball is more of a concept than an actual ball. There may have been an original Happy Fun Ball, but in our minds, it has grown to so much more. My personal Happy Fun Ball is a really bouncy one that I got from the national science museum. It flashes and everything, when it hits something, running on kinetic energy. You do not know of happy fun ball? You have not lived! Hang your head in shame. Especially for making up a credible reason for this topic, shammily. And to answer the quote, the point is to get on of the barrels to the rune, near the entry to that room without pushing it into the void. Once you've done that, look inside. When I can get broadband, I will get broadband. However, as Mariann told us, bandwith is not the problem, disk space is. I would think that a picture and a short caption would be better than a half-page rant? Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

What?? Imban isn't a mod on GC. Only Alorael. Technically Drakey aswell, though it seems a bit silly to have added him to the list on the top of fora. Simply because he's an admin. Not a mod. Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

No, I think she still turns up. Having the amulets only means that you don't get teleported out even more times, having to face even more monsters. Not sure. But I think so. Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I assume by that, Aran, you've read up. Fine. Personally, my canning doesn't affect me that much. Nor do most peoples' opinion's on the matter. It's old news. However, I really do not like your attitude towards Zephyr, in this. Sure, most times, when he posts (which is not often), he mentions that he has a desire to be un-canned. And dammit, I agree. It has been months upon months since he was canned. He learnt his lesson. He does not spam. And yet, Drakey, appears to require him to perform some "notable good deeds". How many people in the community, outside of the scenario developers, can honestly say that they have performed "good deeds" here? Not many. Some may note someone who often provides help and clarification to those who need it. Others, may consider the people who took part in the two PPPs. Bottom line; I've run out of possible "good deeds" already. This may have something to do with me getting very little sleep recently, combined with a time of 00:54. Nonetheless, un-can Zephyr dang it. You expect too much from a community of this size. /blather. Grrr to ye who tl, dr. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I got AIM today (w00t?). The only reason, really, was that it's the standard mode of secondary communication over at SR. Oh yeah, and, god(s) or deity(ies) forbid, should anyone want to contact me, my SN is (really strange and unconnected :) ) fatbatmonkey. I wonder why nobody took it already... :D -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I can certainly attest to that one. Ah lament! *laments* *and again* *and some more* Ah lament! *struggles to remember what lament actually means, then decides that the effort is too great and scurries off* :D Lament! EDIT: *gets back from referring to dictionary. Decides that self is covered both ways* Lament! :) [ Saturday, September 11, 2004 12:48: Message edited by: FatBatMonkey ] -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

About 62.5 miles. :D It's also not a good thing to spam by merely saying "hi, whoever you are. w00t! Post count +1!" I will therefore mention that, actually, I really hadn't noticed you were gone. However, have fun on your apprentiship and get a net hook-up! According to your wishes though; hi, whoever you are. w00t! Post count +1! :D -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

No, not yourself. However the majority of your male following, could, in itself, be considered just a touch disrepuble. But only in a legal sense. :D [ Saturday, September 11, 2004 11:54: Message edited by: FatBatMonkey ] -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Micael, either that's tGM in puppet account form, or someone has cut and pasted his entire profile. Excluding the e-mail, but it's already been established that he had several puppet accounts set up through various free e-mail services. A different e-mail for each account, but still tGM. It doesn't offend me in any way, shape or form. However, the last three or four welcome or welcome back topics have just turned into sheer amusing stupidity. Which OF COURSE, were, in due course locked by our REALLY GREAT, ALWAYS RIGHT, mods. Either which. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

*dead pan* So do I take that as I have no real opinions or that I'm disreputable.........?? Hmm...?? *smiles* :) No worries. It was an interesting diversion. And warm welcomes are a speciality. ;) 'Sides I don't think you had a welcome topic in the first place, did you? Well, I would say consider that it, but that one didn't go so well... No change there then. :D [ Friday, September 10, 2004 15:52: Message edited by: FatBatMonkey ] -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

But wait! For I have already claimed this topic and all affiliated articles in the name of Prince Regent Michael of Sealand! Bow down to his mighty rule! BTW, I would have put the coat of arms up and everything, but might some people become aggravated about it? Specifically whoever owns the site. It would have been kinder to have actually have told him that it would have been a better idea to have compiled all of his questions into one topic, instead of multiples. Instead of just calling him an idiot? Ahh, Finns. Tut-tut. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

No, in a way you are a valuble part of the community. You were, however perfectly clear with your point about being "polite and helpful", I merely phrased my words in a way which seem to project a negative. This is besides the point, as you actually managed to put the point I was getting at in a better way. And while you have your tolerance to some, you call others idiots and fools, the last time being yesterday. Which was my point exactly. Once again I digress, the point in totallity was that it is next to impossible to get de-canned, as it were. Zephyr is living proof, he has not engaged in any form of spam for months upon months, yet despite his best efforts, he seems unable to perform any "good deeds" due to a lack of opportunities arising. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |
