I actually read it all the way up to the ninth or tenth book. Then I just got sick of it because it was pretty repetitive, Revelations was being taken waaaaaay too literally to be creative, and it kind of offended me as a Catholic.

It doesn't seem like a technical bug; it's just a place you're not supposed to find yet that went ignored. You were able to do stuff like that all the time in the old games.

I almost voted evil and nasty as you can get, because that's generally my kind of thing. But then you really have to think more about it: Although the game itself is not an immediate threat to people's health (I hope), Hell is a very real threat to mankind and should be taken very seriously. Things like demons and serpents with human heads are direct references to the ocult, and all things in this game truly must be taken in moderation.

The story of Grah-Hoth was a classic tale because it wasn't written by computer game amateurs, and everyone seemed to recognize him as a MAJOR evil in the game with little reservation, going all the way as to deem the only wizard to dare summon him insane. We can't have demons summoned left and right just because some of us begin to think it's fun.

Finally, sex predators are not okay. Sexual assaults are more bizzare on one's psyche than killing a hideous monster out of self-defense, and there are plenty of small children who play these games.
EDIT: I know there's an age-rating, but nothing is actually forcing children not to play scenarios with high age ratings

I dunno. Things like that have happened to me before (not often, of course) and truth be told, I'm not too computer savvy myself. Why don't you just try uninstalling/reinstalling it? What version of Windows / how old a machine are you using? Heck, I'll let you borrow my CD and even ship it for free if you promise that you bought the game:

I'm also supprised no one's ever played one of the shareware games and typed in some random number for the registration code for fun. Not to steal it, I mean, but just because.

No, I just asked him once about the Black Cube from E2, one about bonuses on items, and another about Demonslayer in E3, and I got personal responses.

I figured someone else must have done that other than me

...felt terribly, horribly sorry for something that happened to the characters in your party?
:(

...acquired more alchemical ingredients than you can keep track of?

...carried a full inventory of potentially valuable, unidentified treasures only to find that you've ignored much more valuable things for cursed items?

...felt guilty for using the character editor that you paid for and thus, rightfully own? :o

...had a party in the 60's levels and desperately wished that you could still create Knowledge Brew from the earlier games?

...sold cursed items to a merchant you hate?

...wished magical efficiency counted for something?

...mailed Jeff Vogel with the stupidest problem and got a response and went "OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG," and saved the message forever? :D

...taken a guess at the registration codes just for the heck of it?

I agree that American Dad won't last. Even as a strong Conservative, I just didn't think it was even funny and I was kind of offended by their attitudes. But The Simpsons is heaven.

At my house, there was a rule that no punishment can be inflicted that would directly prevent one from watching "Sump."

I hope FG lasts a while, but I have a terrible feeling in my gut that it won't. Just bring back Futurama in place of the crappy new episodes of "That 70's Show" and I'll be happy.

To Thuryl: HaHa! No, I have two brothers who play the game but hardly know how to open it, much less screw with the Program Files folder.
To Smoo: Thanks for helping. Yes, I use a PC with Windows. I just had to know if anyone else had ever had the same problem I did.

Let's see, I had already cleared out the Slith infestation to the West, killed the Alien Beast, and visited Norton.

Then the people just... went away, except for:
The people in Fort Laramie, Bearclaw, Havelock, the Owners of the Dancing Gremlin, and NPC's in Mosadorl's tower.

All the other shopkeepers, guards, and semi-critical characters have disappeared. Redownloading the scenario didn't work, and I can't imagine anything in the scripting that anyone could have done to trigger something so bizzare.

Right now I'm wandering around trying to figure out what to do about the first trap when you walk right into the building, but it traps you and kills you right away. (I was told to talk to someone in the library in Grimson about demons. It probably has something to do with that, but he doesn't exist for me to talk to).

If you have a lot of scrolls, potions, and alchemical ingredients, do not by any means be afraid to use them. They're quite common, and you'll find they taste much better than the potion guide discribes most of them!

Hi, I'm Christopher and I'm new to the boards here.
I just have one concern with the scenario "Backwater Calls": Everyone in the towns except for a few people have disappeared!

Does anyone know what that's all about?

What was it with Flame Arrows? Is it supposed to do anything whatsoever? I've tried, at my highest levels, using it against goblins and it still doesn't do more than, like, 4 damage.
