Hi, I'm playing the last blades of avernum scenario. I'm under seleucia, and I feel weak: there is a bridge with ghost that kills me before I can use the sword; a place with 20 skeletors that kills me, a skeletor cave that I find very hard to explore cause battle are very hard (I usually dead)... and another place with bombs. I'm finding this place quite boring 'cause everyplace is only a fight place... I'm missing something, have I to explore somewhere else before, or simply my eroes are too weak for this place? no solution please, only a clue if I have to leave this scenario or if there is to do before go under selucia. thank you and forgive my bad english. f. If you have a lot of scrolls, potions, and alchemical ingredients, do not by any means be afraid to use them. They're quite common, and you'll find they taste much better than the potion guide discribes most of them! -------------------- "Sometimes I get all hungry! And then I catch some flies! Use Haste on whoever can cast Repel Spirit in your party. Then, roast 'em all (Fireblast also works well). Not quite sure exactly where you're talking about, but the above strategy should work for just about every single fight in Diplomacy with the Dead. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Or, you could get a crucifix, a magnifying glass, and a big mirror... -------------------- "Sometimes I get all hungry! And then I catch some flies! They fly into my webs! They are really yummy guys!" -Spider Posts: 209 | Registered: Monday, July 4 2005 07:00 |

Haste is very important for that scenario, as well as repel spirit. If you have a mage, it may be worthwhile to build up a few levels of priest so that the mage can cast repel spirit. EDIT: Also, if you're in the sewers, if you see bodies lying around, enter combat mode before approaching them. This will allow you to attack them before they can attack you.
