I started the "procurator" map for the third time now, as I managed to make a dying city twice. The first one was to far from the food source, the second didn't attract enough workers. I started again, and all goes well until now. I deal with the wolves by waiting until I have a legion. At the procurator map, the wolves are separated from the rest of the city by water. The moment I have a small army, I make a bridge and kill all wolves in sight. And that's the end of that tale. It's not very nice, but it certainly works. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! This is an old photo, from about a year back. I'm playing my trombone during a concert of my orchestra. I'm the one with the glasses, in the middle. Enjoy. Wow... Kelandon, you look quite a bit different than I would have imagined, you know... First, go to the library level, not the administartion level. then work your way to the other end of the corridor, but don't descend the stairs. instead, open the door which you past on your lefthand, seen from your party's perspective. You'll find that it is all ruined there, if you are at the right place. now walk down that corridor, and you find a slope down, leading into a cave. the Vahnatai are in that cave (not the venhaiti). -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. me a fan? Or Crusader a fan? I alreadu have Caesar 3, otherwise I wouldn't have started this topic. From what I understand from Crusader's post, he also has the game already. Aran: I tried Zeus. The only thing which disappointed me, were the graphics. for the rest it was nice to play. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Wow, not even a day away, i think. No, seriously, but TM does that to everyone. Me too, I had an enormous discussion with him, and I'm certainly not the only one. quote:I have seen this in many games, and therefor it surprises me to read this. I don't own any game (except BoA), so I didn't play any game to the end, so I don't know anything about it. It still surprises me to read that the attacks and battles are the same, only more difficult and longer. i think Jeff would do a good job in more variations of the same battle, which is roughly the same as Student of Trinity just said. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Aran, could you give me link to the website of Zeus? Maybe I could download the demo. If you say it's better than caesar 3, it must be extrememly good. By the way, did you know they are making a caesar IV now? It looks awesome! I'm taking this opportunity.... Wait, there is no opportunity, just boredom. Let me start again: I'm taking this moment of boredom to inquire who has ever heard of a game called "caesar III"? The game is a city-building strategy game, like Simcity. however, Caesar III is much better in almost every respect. So, have you ehard of it? please vote and then post to say what you think of the game. Poll Information This poll contains 1 question(s). 29 user(s) have voted. I had first found out about Avernum 3. I was just looking on a Dutch site where they had macintosh downloads. I come there sometimes to see if there's something new. One of these games I saw was avernum 3. The screenshot was a screenshot of the portal fortress in upper Avernum. I saw the screenshot, and it immediatly atracted me. I just looked different. No stunning 3D graphics, all simplicity. I decided to download it, and I started playing it. I was hooked. Then I discovered that there were more Avernum games, and I was happy. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. OOC: Groan. I'll write the IC again. IC: Filbert lay on the floor, and looked at the closed tunnel. He could still hear a faint screaming on the other side of the wall, where the stairs were. After waiting for a couple of minutes, in which his leg was still painfull, the screaming of the undead became less and less, and eventually it was gone completely. He looked around. the tunnel was darkish, although he could still see enough. the stalamites were big, cold, and sharp. he tried to get up. his leg didn't want to. Stupid leg! for once! Do as I tell you! The leg kept complaining abou the fresh wound. He would have to crawl. Hmpf. I hope that wound will heal soon. That ritual was supposed to make healing of wounds go faster. he crawled onwards, into the dark tunnel. As he crawled, he felt the water on the cavefloor, the small sharp stones, and constantly bumped into another stalagmite. I hate this mountain, he thought, while he bumped into another stalagmite. however, as he crawled, he felt his leg was feeling better. he looked at the leg, and saw it was half-healed. I think I should try to stand up, if that worthless leg complies... He crawled to a stalagmite, and while he supported himself, he erected himself, and tried to walk. It seemed to go alright. This would make everyhting quite a bit easier. As he walked onwards, he thought he heard screams, groans and several thuds, followed by a silence. he walked, fastening his pace, and stumbled upon a quite peculiar sight. In the half-dark, he sweared he saw two body's lying on the floor, and another standing next to the smaller body. he quickly hided behind a stalagmite, but he tripped. he fell. His half-torn clothes, with his sword, wand and other trinkets, fell on the floor, making a loud noise. The standing person quickly kneeled, and drew somthing from her back. Oh my god OOC: I really hope this is better. I really don't feel like writing a third IC. -------------------- Thralni's almighty Avernum pages: Go look! Go go go go! At a certain point I was getting obessed with the discussion, yes. that was mainly because I was arguing with people I no nothing about, claiming they study a certain field, and say the opposite of the books, my parents and other people I talked too. I guess I'm very suspicious. I'm sorry to have frustrated you. I assmune I don't have to say I didn't mean to lose you, as you already came up with that yourself. I leave the decision to you if you want to offer any more help or not, although I would be delighted to hear your opinions. I suppose I would have felt the same: frustrated, very irriated. If I promise I won't argue to the exstent as I argued with you about the genitive, will you consider helping me again? I was obsessed with winning the discussion, which made me lose the actual point of the whole discossuion: help with the cases of my language. I apologize. I hope not to start arguing like that again. Will you please help again? -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek!
