What i like about G3 is the presence of more Shapers, you really get the feeling that the Shapers actually have the power they try to flaunt. I had hoped that you would have more Shaper on Shaper or Dual-shaper against rouge action, like when killing the creator on Dhonald's. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." What IS +2Levels of damage, really? What is a Level of Damage..? Is it another level of spell damage, for example another 1-6 damage to the firebolt spell (I think it did 1-6 standard)? -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." I don't see the point with the Creators Belt anyway (except for the Armor). Why? Because i always go for Girdle of Geniues. Sorry, but those two extra point of Int can give up to 100 extra Essence for a Shaper, something i would rather have. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." I had a Battle Shapeing skill of 6-7. I think 5 is needed to make one. Keep in mind that unless you got allot of Essence to waste on a creation getting that high Dex might be hard (i pumped about 200 essence or so into mine). -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." No easy newsflow? There can be a threeway war, no merchants passing from city to city, all routes blocked, and still someone will know what i have said in Drypeak Warrens when i arrive in Riseing. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." What game have you been playing? In G1 it was manual, sure, but did you actually ever need more then one or two? Hell, most of the time i had 50 Living Tools and allot of other loot just sitting around in Vakiri, should i ever need them. Needless to say, i did not. Btw, in G2/G3 it gives XP, so it is worth the change. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Yes, it does give armor +20. I am unsure what i used it on then, but i am still rather sure i got two. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." I don't play on Torment, i always play on Normal, somehow i feel like it makes the game unfair to me to play on a harder level. Question: Does increaseing Diff give more XP or more creations to kill and thus more XP? -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Kinda defeats the prupose of Living Tools if you ask me, but if that is your game.. PS: Back in G1 there was a Living Tool found that had an unlimited ammount of uses. If you wanted to use this bug then it saved you allot of space in your inventory (even though Living Tools were almost never needed back then anyway.) -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Since the Guardian has been weakened with Melee and Parry it should only be natural that he started to use Missile Weapons like an Agent uses Battle Magic, correct? Does this eliminate the purpose of a Guardian, since it is now basicly just another Agent? -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Kinda like "Spellbinder" from Batman of the Future. Because i have read the Instructions? Seriously, read the, they come with the game being installed. They explain head on what will boost a magic (Which is Level of Spell, Level of Skill and Level of Spellcraft added) and what will not. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." When playing as a Shaper i went heavy on Battleshapeing for once, thinking that i might aswell give it a try. When i got to Harmony and got some training by the Shaper there i learned how to create Thad Shades, and i quickly realised how potent these creations could be. In G1 and G2 the shades were simply slightly harder to hit and did less damage when attacking, but in G3 it seems that the chance of hitting a shade creation has really been lowered allot. I pumped my Shade up to Dex 20 and suddenly the chance of hitting it had dropped to 0% for every creation on Harmony. My Thad was now invincible. I continued to pump Dex up to max (30) and the biggest hit % that a creation on Dhonald's Isle could muster was 5%, which is not allot. True, the Shade did not do allot of damage, but does it matter if nothing can hit it? I never got a chance to have the Shade test it's mettle against a Rotgroth but i do not think that the hit % would be much diffrent then 5% there either. I suggest that you all try it out and report back if the the Thad Shade can take on a Rotgroth, for as i see it the game was slightly broken when i could take on entire Dhonalds Isle with one creation without even giving the creation speed or blessing. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." I will go ahead and correct you right away: There is another pod of Purified Essence, early int he game. I know this because i "wasted" mine on a creators belt as i played Agent, but i found another one before i left Gull Island and thus were able to make the very handy Essence Aegis. This means that there are three of them in the game, sadly i can't remember where i got them. What does the necklace of might do? ...And Edited for the second time, what does the Shroud do? I never tried to make it since i did not think it would give +2 AP aswell, and no matter what boost to skills it does nothing can beat two extra AP. I think ie of crystals and wands, even if they do more damage then a GC. Why? Because othervise they are worthless. A Shape and Agent got their own magic, and can thus sell the crystals, but Guardian don't have magic so they can use the crystals well, especially combined with the Missile Weapon skill that was in the two past games totally pointless aswell. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Haha, gawd, GIFTS. I am sure that now that you have mentioned it Jeff would be delighted to put them ins omehwere as an Easter Egg. I support the idea of Minotaurs, or atleast the idea of other supernatural creations that have evolved outside of Shaper controll somewhere in a distant land, i also agree that Geneforge tells a tale of people wanting to create a better world, but lacks the power to do such. Shall they then take the power and lose their wisdom, or try and fight without the power even though ti is a doomed cause? Having the Darkons become "enlightened" is an oxymoron considering how many canisters it has taken to get them the power they now weild. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." As i have pointed out before; Yes, Parry is nerfed. Parry shpould be ignored alltogether unless you are playing as a Guardian, something i have never done so far since recent reports indicate that they suck nads. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Doing an Agent experiment suggested by someone at the board here (Sorry, forgot name, too stressed to look it up). Will only upgrade Int and Magic skills more or less. Currently have Level 34, SC 16, BM 20 and hey, i STILL don't see any Essence Orb with damage of 300.. ..Err, enough of that. First priority of any class is to get Leadership and Mech up to 6, i do this before i even leave Southend. Mech and Leadership are simply so powerful skills that they are worth buying up early on since they can gain you some real XP and thus make it worth paying for them. Leadership 8 should be aquired before entering the major city of Harmony Isle (around Level 14-15 now), Mech 8 should be aquired around Level 20 (About when you enter the Processing Plant). Other then that i have no real "rules"..I jst keep buying upw hatever is relevant for my Class. BM and SC for Agents, Int and whatever shapeing skill i have decided to focus on for Shapers. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Not true. Spellcraft increases chance of a succesfull spell, increases chance of any spell to be succesfull (read the instructions) Increaseing Mental Magic and Spellcraft will increase efficency, i.e duration of spell. Hey, there is endless possibility here. Shapers don't controll the entire world (this we know for a fact), and just like the europeans during the middleages the shapers are proud, and if THEY can't cross that big ocean (G1) then NOONE can. This means that just like in the real world there can be two, three entire continents so far unsettled by the Shapers, where for all as we know Minotaurs can live there, propser, have an enlightened civilization with their own kind of magic. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days."
