It's not right under your nose, it is actually far from it. You need to go to the Rebel camp and walk past the building where the rebel lives, then walk east (You will now be in forbidden territory, so don't let the guards see you twice). When you get a bit to the east, walk south and move behind the two supply-houses there. Close to the wall will be a barrel, move close to it and a bit to the east and you will find a ring on the ground (a message will pop up). Take the ring and show it to the same man that gave you the quest. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Thank you, Dolphin. However I fear that there are more dedicated players to the Geneforge series that know allot more than I do, so I am unsure how much I can bring to the party. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Anyone actually found a use for these in the game? Not the living but the oldschool things just named "tools". Is there a use? In any of the Geneforge games? -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Started to replay instead. I could probably have made it by just shaping more BA but that would seem to me a bit pointless. I know that it is Torment, but if I don't find an easy way to do things I don't want to do it. Instead I try and try again untill I find the right combo. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Agents gets essence the same way as Shapers, but in a less degree. Instead they get more Energy. Agents do not focus on Shaping either, and instead of making creations to fight for them they use magic and spells to fight for themselves. Thus Intelligence is important for an Agent, but the actually Essence for shaping creations is not. You will notice that when you buy up Intelligence your Energy will go up, which is good, because you need it to sling those bolts of magic of yours. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." On normal it should not be that hard if you play your Agent or Shaper right. Guardian might be harder, but not if you focus on missile weapons. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." I guess I could just ignore them. Just 100XP anyway. Of course, the other golems will be a pain. Even if I bought up BM to the same level I got Mental Magic (6) I would still only have a total level of 8 (+2 for the spell level) I guess I could restart and go at it again, but I really wanted a Rotgroth.. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." Who says you can make them? You can find one for free in Dhonald's Keep, and just making them for an extra +1 SC seems a bit cheap. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." I have a BM of 2. I don't use Searer, since I focus on MM. I don't want to use my Alphas as sheilds, I want them to live. Why else bother with creations eating your XP if they are going to die all the time? -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." No, not the ones guarding the neat stuff in the deep core. I can only shudder at the thought of those. These guys are kicking my rear. Torment, Shaper, 2 lvl26 Battle Alphas with pumped strenght, dex and endurance (2lvls of Int aswell, of course), blessed, Essence Shield, hasted, they still have a major problem to take down just one of these. Do you guys walk around them or try even harder? Any help would be appreciated. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." To my great disappointment, a Thad Shade simply can't stick it up to a Batttle Alpha on Torment. It's just not worth the essence invested in it. Even with a Dex of 27 a Battle Alpha still has 55% chance of hitting, which is just too much. My shade can take out a single BA, but more than one will be trouble. Other creations and enemies still can't hit my Shade, but since Alphas are getting rather common I figure that I will have to upgrade my Thad Shade to a Battle Alpha. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." New weapons will be needed, of course. New spells, new creations. All and all, this game needs a whole new set of things to combine and work with the old, not just a few tweaks to the allready existing objects. If we recieved like three new weapon types I would be delighted. -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days." ::Laughs:: You can heal Rouge by "Cure"? Would that not mean that you should, technically, be able to convert any creation you come across with Cure? -------------------- "..The seventh wave of Thrall stumbled and climbed over the slippery, piled dead and Mazzarin saw The Watcher with them and at last knew the number of his days."
