You are calling Trakovites extreme? Look at the shapers, they keep all the power with themselves and kill anyone who says so much as a word against them. They aren't humane at all. As a death sentence they leave their prisoners to rot in a cage with no food or water. And the Rebels? They plan to bring mass destruction to the world, just to finally destroy te shapers. Those people are extremists. Also, with shaping, you can create monsters like the unbound and set them free to kill things. With magic you can't do nearly as much harm. Also, MM doesn't crush the will of the creature, does it? Shaping does. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Rampaging around, trying to hurt your enemy in any with ecsence isn't exactly by accident...... They didn't care what they did as long as they hurt the enemy. [ Sunday, December 17, 2006 12:10: Message edited by: Kyrek ] Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Trakovites are against shaping, the creation, changing and controling of life. Casting kill isn't exactly creating life, is it? It's not controling either. Also, it isn't shaping something. It's destroying it. Ya, they did start out with magic. But they also started with Shaping. They created all kinds of diseases and deformed there enemies. But that is changing life. That is shaping, which is what should be destroyed. [ Sunday, December 17, 2006 10:52: Message edited by: Kyrek ] Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Shaping does not require magic. It requires escence. Otherwise, when you are shaping, your spell energy would drop too. Magic and Shaping both stem from escence, but are not the same thing. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Escence is not shaping. Shaping may use escence, but escence is not shaping. [ Saturday, December 16, 2006 06:11: Message edited by: Kyrek ] Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Bandages. Herbs. There are lots of these in the world. If people tried they would figure out how to use them. Yes, healing is shaping, but there are many ways to heal that just aren't used. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Spells. Spells can be deadly when you have enough skill. I'm sure many of you have played a game where you didn't create a single creation. You will no matter what have to kill a shaper or something stronger eventually. And its not like all those elite warriors you see are completely inept at fighting. With each shaping book found there is one less in the world soon. It will take a long time, but eventually you will stop it. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

You may not be able to unring a bell, but its better to try than to let something as horrendous as shaping stay active. If you do it slowly and stop the teaching of shaping then eventually it will be a long forgotten thing. Spells will never be a horrible thing, because many people know different spells, and if someone tried to create a second tyranny than it woulld not be hard to stop them. You cannot completely unring a bell, but you can muffe it enough that nobody would even try using it again. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Part I ~ Finding the Shapers/Therile Colony Khiryk Le Servile was a rather normal servile from a French Shaper town. He was born to a pair of miner serviles and grew up mining. However, as the Rebellion came into exsistence he knew that there was a better life for serviles. At the first oppurtunity he killed his Shaper with a picaxe. He fled to Illya and was sent to the Ashen Islands to train for the Geneforge. Then when he was ready he sailed to Southforge Citadel to use it. During his training he heard of the Drakons and the Trakovites. He began to wonder if Shaping was really a good thing. He tried not to use the Geneforge but to no avail. As he used it he vowed never to use the art of Shaping. From the beginning Khiryk planned to backstab both sides for the Trakovites. Khiryk used all his skill points on geeky skills until Mech was at 8, Leadership was at 6 and luck was at 3. This way he would gain access to the Spidersilk Robe and all Leadership xp as soon as possible. Then he trained weapons skills so that he would have a useful way to deal damage before he gained his magic skills. Khiryk got every piece of loot and xp he could find to be the most dangerous opponent possible. He killed Tycho since he likes the rebels a lot more than the Shapers. Finding the Shaper Camp he finishs another quest. He then talks to Crowley and gets his mission. Then he heads westto free the trapped rebels. After he goes south to fight the battle alphas. He blesses and protects himself before the battle and then takes out the western alpha with searer, crystals and melee. He then kills the bridge alphas with the mines. He then goes on to kill the eastern alpha. Instead of fighting the drayk Khiryk sneaks past it and steals its stuff. He ends up with a Spidersilk Robe, PolarFur Cloak, Boots, Sheilding Band, Stability Bauble, Pants, Stunning Blade and Student's Belt. Messi has perfectly set up Gudjoshen many times, but all the times I've seen he has screwed it up. Guily's good but I'd rather have Messi in that position. He's SO fast that he can run down most of the field towards the enemy net before anyone can stop him. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

The problem is Saviola is never played. He's better than Gudjoshen but is never played. Messi however is a very big part of the team and terrorizes the defense quite well. He can get past Cannovaro and R. Carlos at the same time. Yes, Eto'o's absence is hurting the team most. He would have scored on so many setups Gudjoshen missed. To be honest I think Barça needs a new striker to replace him. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I'd like the Geneforge walking system. I didn't like the whole square thing with the annoying sound. It bugged me seeing my characters magically move from place to place without any of their body moving. I'd also like to see the new encumbrence system slighty better than in Geneforge 4, so it's not impossible for melee to do anything useful. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |
