Things are going fairly well, Drew, or as well as they can be expected to go. I suppose it's time to investigate a few more threads. It's oddly satisfying to be back, I must say.

As my for my tips:

Germany v Argentina - Germany will be too strong for the over-confident Argentine squad.
England v Portugal - Portugal will capitalise on Englands weaknesses.
Italy v Ukraine - Ukraine will be overwhelmed by the strong Italian offence.
Brazil v France - A no-brainer.

Still, this World Cup has put Australia on the map as a soccering nation, albeit a small one. Hopefully our next coach is as good as Lucky Guus.

Yes, but Owen is an excellent player, and anything to weaken the side is good for other countries. I'm not saying that he is their only good player, but his injury does not help England.

England won their way into the 2nd stage. They are still in the world cup, and the absence of Michael Cole does not mean they are going to sit on their thumbs and stop playing soccer. I'm not convinced they have much of a chance in the round of eight, but counting them gone at this point is far too hasty.
Michael Owen injured his knee, and will be out for possibly six months - the remainder of the cup, for sure.

I really don't see the point of disallowing it. The pair love each other, so why should it not be official?

I'm not for same-sex marriage. A proper marriage, IMO, would be against the tradition that marriage was built around.
