Sorry, what was the topic originally? A point: what is the original poster's relationship to the county exec? If he's her boss, unsolicited porn might be construed as sexual harassment. BTW, I'd sooner have porn round my house than Bush pix. The two combined though.... Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |

BTW, the first Quakers were quite rabid, often indistinguishable from Ranters who denounced the Anglican hierarchy as "Antichrist" in frankly demented ways. During the (English) Civil War, Quaker founder Charles Fox called down "woe [on] the bloody city of Lichfield" (actually a picturesque Midlands cathedral town) dressed only in a loincloth. One early Quaker had his tongue bored through with hot iron for entering Bristol on a donkey, in imitation of Christ's entry into Jerusalem. Modern-day Quakers occassionally need reminding of this, with interesting consequences for neighbouring clergy.... Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |

Not wishing to be unpleasant about it, but we rejoice. :P ToSs wasn't exactly a flamer, but the 'knowing nothing know-all' tone of most of his posts was unwelcome as far as I was concerned. Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |

This forum has 3,000-odd contributors and has been going for years. Not everyone on its registered, but not everyone registered is on it. I suggest dozens a day registering is more likely than hundreds or thousands. Jeff isn't going to be a millionaire this way - all the more reason not to rip him off. I wouldn't be surprised if it was reading rather than the PC that knackered Ghost's eyesight. It certainly did for mine. (No jokes about what I was reading under the bedcovers as an early teen - not wearing the boxing gloves either.) BTW, I think RSI is more likely to be a problem if you use keyboards a lot than eye damage. Make sure your wrists are supported! Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |

You could have Methodists for Mohammed--no doubt particularly agreed about abstainance from alcohol--or Nonconformists for Nirvana on Alorael's alliterative principles. Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |

Yes, Khoth, a good measure against that problem is wearing boxing gloves or one of those patentr Victorian inventions when you're using the PC. Best if it's mouse-based though. Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |

You should have posted it in the 'Announcement' threrasd. Sort of disturbing how they look identical though. In my day 'clones' were Freddie Mercury lookalikes with the moustaches and leather caps. Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |

RB: I don't think a corset would suit Little Lord Fauntleroy (wrong age and gender) nor--mercifully, given the context--were lollipops a feature of 18th century life. Amusingly though, I did know this old boy (who died recently) who was photographed wearing a Little Lord Fauntleroy suit as a child. This must have been the 1940s, even then half a century since they should have passed from this world. He grew up to be a chronic hypochondriac who never married, preferring to spend his entire life living with his mother, then aunts. I think he was interested in freemasonry too - not saying they're all like this or anything.... Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |

This sounds like a theological discussion to me. Tell me, how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, if the Creator wills it? No, not that one! (EDIT: Reminds me of the old joke: Three wise men from the East went to see the Madonna. It was one of her first performances.) My landlady's cats constantly hassle me for food now she's away. The 'battery kitty' idea is really good to regulate their food intake, though I guess an extra-long hose would be needed to divert waste out into the garden (fertilizer!), a colostomy-type arrangement, or maybe some motion-related alarm to shift them out there. Another plus is that they only get on beds, laps, etc when their jar is placed there rather than waking me at unearthly hours, demanding yet more food by standing on me purring and drooling - and no damn hairs everywhere even when so placed. Finally, bottled cats wouldn't constantly get into fights, which clock up ridiculous vets' bills (funny how cat antibiotics cost six times what equivalent human antibiotics do), and even if they did, a thick layer of glass would mean no expensive injuries. What's the fuss about? Where do I send the cheque? Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |

In random games, you get to pick one of six. Each species has its own 5 scenario campaign, though if you check out the other GC thread at the moment, at least two are unplayable due to bugs. The different species are only really distinguished by ship design anyway. Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |

What do you mean 'traditional'? 18th century 'Fanny Hill' costume stuff with wigs and crinolines? Is there no end to human depravity? ;) [ Saturday, May 31, 2003 10:01: Message edited by: X ] Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |

What people choose to do with blenders in the privacy of their own homes is surely their own affair, its own reward and punishment. I, for one, avert my eyes, having simply no prurient interest in that direction. Posts: 2333 | Registered: Monday, January 7 2002 08:00 |
