Counterclockwise first, then clockwise. I figured out how to switch them, but I still have no idea how the test works.

Well...do you need a new email to get set up on an old vacant account like Tyran? Probably, but I'm just asking.

Right, practice makes perfect when deciding on trustworthy sites. My friend is NEVER allowed on the internet, so he came to my house and wanted me to goof off by typing in random URLs due to his deprivation in that area. I obliged, and first typed in ledzeppelin.com. When the opening segment (which was pretty cool) came up, he looked terrified and said, "Are you sure this won't release a virus and blow up the computer?" If he hadn't been shielded from the internet, he'd at least know how to judge and not feel frightened of it. He really doesn't get it.

But we know Iffy's on the internet a lot (don't argue/flame, Iffy, it's just a conclusion based on your post count and I know it could be wrong and impulsive). Iffers, you should just try to reason and say to yourself, "Is there really a point in putting illegitimate information about animated GIFs on the internet? Or packaging a virus in a downloaded GIF assembler? Who in heck would do that?"

Alorael has 1056 posts! Cute.

I totally agree, Synergy. It's not like a history textbook because the text is the actual stuff that happened (forum life for ya). It's so fresh. You could hardly make a Nephil v. Slith topic today and get such genuine, un-Geneforge-ized comments. The archives wouldn't let me past page eight, but at the end of page eight, they were still talking about Sliths v. Nephils! And we still know some of these people.

I mean, wow. Teh evolution.

It sounds as if you're objecting here to the very concept of a political compass, in which case the individual questions are somewhat beside the point.

Then why did you go over all the questions first?

The part of me that read new books all the time in elementary school is gone. Seriously, I can't remember what it was like. Now I force myself to read new stuff...reading's unnatural!

quote:
We succeeded in taking that picture [from deep space], and, if you look at it, you see a dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever lived, lived out their lives. The aggregate of all our joys and sufferings, thousands of confident religions, ideologies and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilizations, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every hopeful child, every mother and father, every inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every superstar, every supreme leader, every saint and sinner in the history of our species, lived there on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.

The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of the dot on scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner of the dot. How frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe, are challenged by this point of pale light.

Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity -- in all this vastness -- there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. It is up to us. It's been said that astronomy is a humbling, and I might add, a character-building experience. To my mind, there is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly and compassionately with one another and to preserve and cherish that pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.

Come on. My friend across town is a speck to me whenever he's in his house. Does that change MY opinion of him? Pfft.

(I'm kidding. I wish I was Salmon so I didn't have to say that. Written jokes suck.)

No surprises there. And I definitely took this before. I didn't find a post about it though. Sadness.
