The Stew Boy do you mean you are looking for this url? http://www.spiderwebsoftware.com/subterra/levels.html Otherwise a site mentions the results as: Here are the winners of 1st official level design contest: =1= Zeviz's Attacked Base =2= Catarina's Enchanted Forest =3= Isi & Zozo's Not Too Serious Posts: 26 | Registered: Sunday, July 4 2004 07:00 |

There was a massive pruning of threads in August everything over 45 days was removed. I believe FatBatMonkey was trying to archive Subterra. The thread Pied Piper Project 2 - The Boards Strike Back in General will give the news. Alternatively: Put in a google search: "level design contest" subterra They may have what you want cached. On one playthrough the attacks by the haunted nephil seemed to stop and there was just the wandering nephil around. Leaving town and returning brought back the rest of the attacks needed to trigger the alien machine message. lizzard where did you find a spaceship? Make sure you have the new version v1.0.1 which you can get from http://stareye08.tripod.com/ . Exchange the new version for the old in your folders. Go to an earlier save where you can leave town and join/load the new version from there. The scenario is well worth the effort. Posts: 26 | Registered: Sunday, July 4 2004 07:00 |

Yet again the board is broken by the kiddies abusing it. An error has occurred: Tried to open zero-sized topic 001966 in forum 1. at CGIPath/ubb_lib_files.cgi line 777. Please inform the board administration of this error so that they may fix the problem. Thank you! Would you please work on a solution to the chain quoting that seems to cause this. The "suggestions" thread appears to be where the problem exists. Posts: 26 | Registered: Sunday, July 4 2004 07:00 |

On the same page you downloaded the game from there are icons that go to "upgrades and support". Instructions are there with for either mac or windows. I'd give a link if you had said which game you are losing. ;) [ Wednesday, August 25, 2004 00:30: Message edited by: grackle ] Posts: 26 | Registered: Sunday, July 4 2004 07:00 |

The tutorial contained in the download at http://www.avernum.com/blades/scen_workshop.html installed itself to my temp files here. Maybe running a search on BoA Editor Docs v1* will help. Posts: 26 | Registered: Sunday, July 4 2004 07:00 |

The uncertainty does seem common. Since the games/engines are available in the 2 forms it is not unreasonable for new blades players to suspect that they will be impacted. It might be nice to also make sure it is very clear at Alexandria and The Lyceum. [EDIT] Looking at the page for BoA the scenario download are broken down into the 2 versions. So perhaps a note there on how to do graphics conversions would help as well as a sticky in the BoA/BoE forums. Keep working on getting through the forest. Some travel will be diagonal. Using a windows OS I found that watching the minimap was most effective in forests to determine possible pathways. Posts: 26 | Registered: Sunday, July 4 2004 07:00 |

Geneforge was recommended in an off topic section of an urban legends forum a few years back. After trying the demo I bought it and have since acquired the rest of his games. Posts: 26 | Registered: Sunday, July 4 2004 07:00 |

Stoats (Mustela erminea) are in the same family as weasels, wolverines, mink, badgers and otters. When in their winter white form they are called ermine. Their class is Carnivora (They are just cute enough to look like a rodent which they eat.) http://www.fact-index.com/s/st/stoat.html sorry, clarification: the less fancy name for Mustela is in fact weasel. The Family weasel includes the Subfamilies weasel and a bunch of others. So it could be called a weasel but is not what is generally concidered a weasel. (Have I made this clear as mud yet?) The long answer: I'm disabled so I come at this from a different perspective than most. I have to choose games that work with limited mobility. Even using the touchpad, pausing often, fatigues so that breaks are required; sometimes I can just switch arms but generally I have to take a few hour rest after playing for an hour. Every click required is noticed. Pulldowns are marginally easier than needing to use the keyboard but having everything available through the mouse on one interface is a huge selling point to me. While I have bought all of the spiderweb games Avernum is what I play because of the ergonomics. The BoE scenarios are only looked at wistfully hoping the authors are willing to convert the best. The praise many BoE scenarios earn makes it tempting to try some longer despite the inefficiencies but I would be in extra pain which is a strong disincentive. The short answer: I'd be happy with whatever is put on an Avernum style engine. Spidweb got me this far so I'll keep the faith. Posts: 26 | Registered: Sunday, July 4 2004 07:00 |

ummm, nope. all seems well here. i assume you are trying to use the 3.3MB patch at the bottom of this page http://www.avernum.com/blades/techsupp.html have you confirmed that the version you are trying to update is in fact the old v1.0 and not the already updated v1.0.1? at worst concider downloading the current version from the list of sites. http://www.avernum.com/blades/index.html at what point are you getting the error message?
