Then about half way through the game it starts to get a bit boring and just annoying. At the end of teh game you're just begging to kill the enemy boss (or whatever you have to do) just to win and get it all over and done with.

I remember I was really releived when Zachary told me I should travel back along that dusty path again!

Anyway, that's just my personal observation.

Well. I suppose.

Okay. Thanks for all of your advice. I smashed Akronath aside after about 10 goes, so I should be able to survive a few giants.

Thanks guys!

I'll ask you for help when I need it again.

I know. My brother's friends dad's a Police Officer stationed in London. Apparently, he rang my brother's friends mum around 3 minutes after the explosion, said "I'm fine" and hung up the phone. Then he was (still is probably), saving people's lives out there.

Did you see what they said they'd do to any prank callers at the moment?

Hmm.

Thralni.

It looks like their main site is down at the moment, so I've given you the link to this instead. It's the Gamespot place for Wing Commadner prophecy, which includes the demo download. If that doesn't work, just look around on google or something.

Be warned: WCP also came out for Gameboy Advance, so don't get the two versions confused.

And maybe it's a tad older than I thought.

Note that they always go back to those platforms of theirs after a few turns or so. They are CONSTANTLY recharging. Perhaps it heals them, like our spells do to us.

Anyway, That's MY theory. They DO get affected, but tehy just constantly heal themselves using those recharge platform things.

ME (an agent), which casts acid spray (getting all golems at once), and that other spell, forgotten it's name now (the one which puts up health, blesses and hastes you etc).

Then Alwan goes in and getts whallopped, while I just provide heavy artillery support. After killing that physco golem thing on Dhonal's Isle, (the one with over a 1000 hp), I think I can just about take on anything...

THESE ARE ALL IN ORDER (in each sub-section)

I've registered:

Exile 3
Geneforge 2
Blades of Avernum
Geneforge 3

Between them, my brothers (so I effectively also "have" these, registered these:

Blades of Exile
SubTerra (this was before it was freeware)
Avernum 3

Also, a friend recently got me:

Geneforge 1
Avernum
Avernum 2

So yeah, I've got lots of games...

Currently I'm;

a) testing a BoA scenario (at times - sory about that)
b) playing Geneforge 3 (still the first time through)
c)playing Geneforge (just etered Kazg, belonging to the Obeyers)
d)playing Avernum 1 (many of you have helped me here)

After I've completed Avernum 1, I'll move onto Avernum 2.

So - Spidweb - CARRY ON MAKING THESE GREAT GAMES!

Nope. I should be allowed to save where I'm saving (the normal save slots). Even when I autosave and quicksave the problem continues.

-- Diarog Lethuta

To clarify on what Jumpin' salmon said (since he wasn't as familiar with winXP:

It is pretty much as simple as right-clicking on the Geneforge 3 Folder, and pressing on properties. Then press on the security tab, and check if it's set to "Full Control". If it isn't, try pressing the full control thing. If that doesn't work, there is a workaround that sometimes works (depends on how paranoid the system admin is). The workaround is: Press on advanced, and make sure that the "Inherit permissions from parents" button is de-selected (it defaults to being selected). De-Select it. Then it should ask wehter you would like to Copy the parents permissions, or Remove. Click Remove. Then just add your username, giving yourelf full control.

As many of you know now (Thanks to Princess Ruth's topic), London was bombed (multiple times).

The main question was: Were we (us lot in England), prepared for this attack, or were we just plain old lax in our security. Obviously, with the G8 summit taking place, our security is low, but shouldn't that have been taken into account? Shouldn't we have expected this?

QUESTION: Were we (us lot over in England) prepared?

And also, who is responsible for this? People say this lot might be responsible, but a 200 word website it not much to go on. I could make that, and make it intracible in less than an hour...

This lot say "WE ARE RESPONSIBLE!"

Pictures (from BBC news):

I just wonder - who's next?

Yeah. I know. I've been keeping up to date all day.

LATEST NEWS:

10 confirmed Dead,
150 and rising in hospital, a good fifth in intensive...
London and surrounding areas Sealed off
They're calling in Emergency Services from all over the Country. (You only get an ambulance now if you're situation's lethal) {Prank callers will be dealt with SEVERELY}
And that was at 2:55 GMT. It's 3:52 over here in England now.
London is in total chaos.

My School's thinking of calling off their London trip and everything.

QUESTION:

Were we prepared?

(I think I'll start a topic on this...)

How old is that and what possibility's does the game have. its indeed not always a matter of harddrive space, but also the quality of the game. For 500 mb, i get a fully operational F-16 under my command, with very detailed radio conversations with many airplanes or control towers to choose from, a extremely detailed land, very realistic avionics and so on, and so on. its now abot 7 - 8 years old (I think). Its called Falcon 4. Does anybody know it?[/QB][/quote]Mine's in space, and probably about 3-5 years old.

Well, in Wing Commander: Prophecy, I can command up to 6 (i think {may be more}) different fighters and bombers, high detail everything, decent radio conversations, and everything. You should check it out one day. It's three disks of High-Quality levels (About 50 different missions or so), which change (varies on your mission sucess or failure, and a whole bunch of pure fun (lethal on hardest setting - "nightmare" is an appropriate name).

It's fun. Try the demo, even though the game is 10x better. You can probably get the game off ebay for about £10...
