If it runs into melee range, you should have some skill with melee weapons. Just run back and smite that rogue. Smite him good!
Here's some general tips:
Agents do not need to invest points in shaping skills. I get around quite well as a solo agent. You can equip sharon's bracelet and use the bonus to shaping skills to make an army of meatshields(thahds work well). If you're unfamiliar with what a meatshield is, it's essentially a creation with no extra essence invested in stats(including intelligence) whose purpose is to take damage and act as an extra target for your enemies. You can make meatshields with agents for large battles. As well, there are several creatures who will join your team. Let them join. Some you won't be able to keep cause they may be too weak. However, Xander(if you're awakened), Heust Blade(if you're awakened or taker) and the huge romer(any alignment) are certainly worth keeping alive.

You can also give it to Symon in Zhauss-Uss along with the other ingredients for the wand to get a corrupting baton(a wand that casts acid shower). I belive it can be sold for a bit of cash as well, but I'm not sure.
EDIT: Sorry, it's Zhauss Uss Outskirts

Thorn baton and wand glitch in Geneforge Series

Ok now, I'm not entirely sure if this is a glitch or if this is supposed to happen. I just recently noticed after starting a new game that using a thorn baton costs essence
As well, sometimes when I equip a wand it looks like I'm holding nothing on the character's pic. As well, using the wand costs spell energy and essence. However, if my spell energy or essence is depleted to the point that there is not enough essence or spell energy to take, I still cast the spell. I think once in the case of the thorn baton I got a negative essence count(my stats said I had zero, but apparently I didn't have enough essence to cast firebolt, which only takes spell energy  ) So is there anything I can do about this? Has anyone else had this problem. I apologize if this is something that should be in the Tech Support boards. I put it here cause it doesn't seem like something that can be fixed, just a bug in the game.

I think there's a GF1 EDITOR. Although I've never used either type of program. Are they the same thing?

No thats what you do to open the door in clawbug canyon isn't it? Or maybe I'm confused. I don't remember having to go into Kss-Urg's valley when I was a taker. In any event, I don't know how to open it so maybe I'm just too stoned today to think straight. :P

I don't understand. If he were to make a GF4 it should be before BoG or he shouldn't make one at all? Sorry I'm just not sure what you mean.

Beneficial as in what they give you? Or ending? Well, if you're about ending for the barzites. I'm not giving it away, so tough. Suffice to say that the barzite ending is good if you're a power hungry maniac. Like myself. :P

Western wastes and drayk's vale. The wastes has a thahd and the vale had a shade. The thahd's a lot easier to kill, if anyone cares. The thahd may be in a nest near the eastern exit, but as mentioned before he doesnt always appear. If he does appear that's where he starts. As for the shade he just seems to mill about aimlessly and attack you every now and then.

They just start at a higher level, although often by the time you get them your thahd has leveled up past this.

The reason "everyone" hates you is because the awakened are opposed to the servants or anyone with anti-servile opinions. Not "everyone" hates you, just those with pro-servile opinions. If you haven't joined the servants, the barzites have similar views regarding serviles. They just want to unstoppable super beings. and, after all, who DOESN'T want world domination? Huh? Guys?

how to git into the temple in spirit city in Geneforge Series

Ok. You asked a question. We get it. One question mark is plenty.

*Sigh* Alrighty for those of you who would rather figure this out on your own, don't read the rest of this post. Keep in mind that the temple is a bit of an easter egg in the sense that you don't have to get inside to beat the game. It also does not get you any special items or anything like that. However, get inside and you learn something shocking.

Alrighty. If you've made it to spirit city, you have undoubtabley come across those stone pilons where there is a spot worn smooth, and you can touch it and then you get the stinging sensation, or feel nothing special. In order to enter the temple, you have to touch these pilons in a certain order. This order is(these are the areas that the piloms are in):
Drayk's vale, Ancient Crypt, Diarazad, Junkyard, Dry Wastes, Western Wastes, Valley of the Wind, and then the one right outside the temple. If done correctly, the temple pilon won't cover you in acid, and you'll be able to get inside the temple without getting hurt.

I know I found it really annoying that they said that clawbugs had a poison sting but they actually don't. Well, except for the stinging clawbug, but you can't create those. They only difference to thahds is that they are stronger(unless your thahd has leveled up enough to give it superior stats) and cost more essence.

Try leaving them behind closed doors if you dont want them following you for a while. Although I found that late in the game such characters as the friendly rat and abandoned vlish quickly became useless. Only Heust Blade and the Giant Romer remained useful
