The flaming sword is on a skeleton near the holding cells. I can't quite remember where the rogue's vest is, though. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... Ah- pools... now I understand. Also, if you're playing a higher-level shaper, you might experience the same problem, especially with an overabundance of essence. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... You may need to adjust the compatability of the game. Try right-clicking on the file, then selecting properties, compatability. Try windows 95 compatability, or one fo the others. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... Radioactive cats have 18 half-lives. The spell circles were a nice touch- it's good to see a deviation from the standard mage/priest or 5 elements-based systems. Blessing pools were a nice (albeit minor) touch, as were the Sylak items. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... Radioactive cats have 18 half-lives. I've not seen the post where the tool is mentioned, but you've been had. No Xian tool exists in Geneforge 2. It's a reference to the Xian skull topic. That said, as soon as you start playing a character, you will need to make a fyora by the second map, and keep it alive till you reach Inner Gazak-Uss. Inside, you'll find a friendly Drakon who will trade you a piece of metal for the fyora. The piece of metal is a fan blade, which when you attach it to the lab equipment in Gramplin's lab, will blow away his rug revealing the tool. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... Hi all, thanks for the support. I guess the reason I feel worried is that I haven't had the work fully peer-reviewed yet. We've submitted our work to a peer-reviewed journal, and it's in the works, but not yet done. I think we've covered all the bases in our research as far as making it reproducible and applicable to the early Earth, but you never really know. One of the sites should have my unshaven picture on it (I think Alec found it) and I agree with villainous appearance. However, I was wearing shorts and sandals that day, I just put the lab coat on to look professional. Given that fact, is it any less sinister :) ? The super-Earth is kind of exciting, provided they it's not just a Neptune-like body. Neptune is ~17 Earth masses, about what they suggest for the super-Earth. The best thing going for it is that it's close in to the sun, so a rocky planet may be more conceivable than a gas giant at this range. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... Dang it. So I did a nice little research project, and got an interview with a press lady at my university. I leave for a conference, return and it's gotten a bit out of hand. Here's the story: spaceref and in German in Czech and in Spanish Yes, the sites contain my full name, but there's no reason to hide it now. Damn. I guess I'm bragging, but frankly I'm mostly just terrified. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... Radioactive cats have 18 half-lives. Get rid of all of the slime pools- you probably missed one (maybe the one with the statues). 1. I'm pretty sure no, though I can't say I ever went back after searching the area thoroughly. 2. I've never not rescued the shade, but I can't imagine any significant change. 3. The bonus is minimal compared to the boots. Definitely stick with the boots. 4. Sadly no. I've always gone for the spell, since it is quite impressive and powerful. 5. For a druid, I noticed the druid bracelet was superior (one additional icelance over an intelligence bracelet). 6. I noticed the carytids as well, but nothing else. Strange, but you're probably right about the crones and Jeff forgetting. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... Radioactive cats have 18 half-lives.
