Ok, I got the quest to purge the tower from Solberg, and I went underground and killed some demon (I forget his name, It was something the Ice Lord) He was sorrounded by pylons and he had a spellbook with Terror behind him. I went back up to get my reward and nothing happened. When I talk to Solberg, It is as if I never completed the quest. I am wondering If I killed the wrong demon or if this is a glitch?

Ocarina of Time was named the game of the century. And it is. The only game that could compare with it is Zelda: Link To The Past.

In the Exile 2 hint booklet, Jeff wrote that some of the characters in E2 were made after people on comedy central, because he watches comedy central a lot. Has anyone figured out who they are?

Threshold

I once saw two people walking in the park.
One was an idealist, the other a pessimist.
One’s reflection of reality was bright, but the other one’s dark.
They argued their points in spite of difference.

I did not consent to either of the perspectives.
I had always been quiet and pensive,
and I admired those strangers for being respective,
But I kept my faith in a meaning that is above the senses.

And for every action there is a reaction, this was the case,
In a blink of my eye, my conscience had shifted.
A heavenly power staring me in the face
And all my doubts and regrets were lifted.

Let’s talk about our freedom, and the dreams we’ve chased,
When we should be fighting for unity.
I only know there are other things at stake,
Just to let them kill their opportunities with their own prudency.

Now, wisdom is not related with age, we all know that,
And opinions are nothing to limit your talents.
When you cross over your final threshold, there’s no looking back.
It was in that infinite moment I realized the true meaning of balance.

What do you think of this poem? It's pretty obvious who wrote it, I did, but I think that this type of writing is limiting and overused. Anyone agree?

and where would the conflict be if everyone respected each other?
I thought the conflict was with the empire. if the races of avernum would fight together against the empire rather then fight seperately against themselves, then it would be a lot better.

Yeah seriously, more black faces. but i don't know what I meant by this, I just hoped that little kids who played Exile didn't get any subliminal messages about being mean to other races or some crazy idea like that. Let's just lock this topic and forget about it.

Thats kind of dumb how every race in Avernum or exile is hated by humans except for themselves. How realistic. And more realistic because of the races. The Nephilim are hairy and ugly, like the French. And the Slithsizarski are cold and scaly, like the Canadians. Was Jeff thinking of how stupid France is when he designed these games?

It would be cool to see a druid or paladin type character in the new avernum, with summoning magic and whatnot.

The other part is found in a tower in the middle of the ocean, specifically north of the big slith castle somewhere. To get through the magic barrier you have to drink from the magic fountain a few squares southwest of it. Cheers

If anyone cares enough to read it i'll post some of my writing but if not just delete it it'll probably take up a lot of space but here's some of it:

Time and Space

Dillon Bartkus

All songs start the same
With comfort words or sage advice
No one likes to be different
Too busy to make a statement
And too old to start a trend.

No one cares for art
No one sees things that way
The judged are misunderstood
But the judges are understood too well.

Philosophy travels in people through Time and Space
A modern day philosopher finds a solution
A self-proclaimed Jesus prophet disagrees.

Questions are unanswered, answers are unquestioned
Poets and artists alike are deteriorating.

We say we wait for death, but we wait for salvation.

Infinite Reach

By Dillon Bartkus

What goes up must come down
What is young must grow.
Some visions people cannot see
Some answers we will never know.

The presence of deception has many guises
The bare truth hides behind many mirrors.
Young eyes see reflections posing as reality
They search in blind faith for invisible meaning to come nearer.

Although some ideas are beyond our grasp
Although some wishes are out of reach,
Those dreams will stay there forever
Remaining there so they can one day teach.

The lessons of our life has an infinite reach
While we wait to feel, wisdom collects with age.
Truth moves through time like a wave
Life will be our most learned sage.

Relapse

Dillon Bartkus

A man walks down a road, the hands of a clock tick and tock. These
moments pass by gradually, coexisting unconsciously.
A suffering of pain and death, a pleasure of intense satisfaction. These feelings pass with or without anticipation, motivation, determination.

A wheel is spinning on a table, presently kinetic, future and past potent.
The wheel will go, the wheel will stop. Come and go, pass and have went, Now becomes when, there will be here.

Exultance will equal with humility, the scale will distribute sanction.
This moment will pass and start anew, as that with which are transitory.
An infinite animus kindles the wheel, always momentum, never ceasing, intrinsic palpitating, infringing passive.

Let it be, life will pass, Our souls will be redeemed.
Live in the now, later will come later, the past is preliminary.
We exist in life, we exist in death, we live and laugh, we learn and love.
All the while we grow, we learn, we live, but our path is always winding. In perpetual motion, we are absorbed in our lives.

The wheel is always in spin, every rotation is a relapse,
We are and we are not, the path of our perfection unfolds as a lotus in bloom, an enlightenment yet to come to us.
Our only option is to let it pass.

Depth of Mind

By Dillon Bartkus

Life is like an ocean.
The meaning is deep underneath.

Some people like the surface,
They like the way it looks, they think it’s pretty.
They focus on it, seeing nothing else, their minds hover on the surface
And they never seem to realize what is below.

Some people float in the middle,
They have been to the surface, they are unaware of the deep,
And are content with neither. They know their place well
And are untroubled by restless tides.

And yet some dwell on the bottom.
They are deep down; deep thinkers, their minds are drifting anchors.
They look down on the surface, the middle seems shallow,
Their depth should be revered by all.

And it is these deep souls who feed the fire of living.
These philosophers who stir the waves,
Unafllicted from relentless tempests.
The skin is always nice looking,
But this ocean has a deeper depth of mind.

ciao.

Hey does anyone here right poetry? I recently showed people at my school some of my writing and they say I'm talented, but I am always doubting myself. Does anyone here want to discuss literature?

I always thought that basilisks were pretty cool. Even though they can't take a lot of damage, they are pretty weak, but if they were stronger they'd be a lot better.

I know this is kind of an odd random question, im sorry to have to ask this here but does anyone know what it means when your ears get this wierd ringing noise in them from time to time? I will just be sitting here and I hear this loud ringing thing in my head and it kind of scares me. I head it might be from listening to music too loud, I kind of tend to do that, but Does anyone else feel this ringing thing?

I hate those purple slimes just because they're so small and weak but they shoot a fireball everytime I try to kill them without entering combat mode... and I also hate Hill Giants.

Nudism in General

I know I know, Im not the greatest poll maker, I'm sorry :( made good points though, I can understamd your logic, and I agree with the person who said something about getting used to seeing people naked. I believe that humans are made to adapt to and move on form things, people move on from death, divorces, and the like, so people would most likely adapt to seeing people naked. Just as likely, if you were a visitor in a different country where people wore bikinis all the time, you would get used to that and any other bizzare things that people did. If we were all nudists then people would start to expect it, then when our generations had kids, they would grow up with it and be comfortable with it. I think the only reason we thing nudism is wierd is because we are not used to it and we dont know a lot about it, as they say, humans tend to fear ( or some other emotion) what they do not know about. and as for the protection and warmth issue, well there would be exceptions that I don't know about, I am just making a suggestion of the general idea.
