Beatles music is just about as timeless as music can get, as evidenced by the sizeable sales of the Beatles "1" CD, and now, the Let It Be...Naked CD, both released around thirty years after the breakup. Nearly all modern pop/rock has been influenced, one way or another, by the music of the Beatles. They were not only adept at the construction of popular music, but of innovative and groundbreaking music as well. They were extraordinarily prolific composers, but their speed of composition sacrificed nothing in terms of quality. I find it highly unlikely that any group or artist will ever come close to surpassing the work of the Beatles. I've certainly seen no signs of such greatness from any modern act.
