Or maybe as it's been so long since the Vahnatais have been far from the humans, they didn't know that they are no longer Exiles, but Avernites ;)

I am playing Avernum 2. I am in chapter 3, in Vanhatai lands. I just passed the tests that allowed me visit the council and they sent me back to the Tower of Magi. The funny thing is that before leaving, I tried (just to see how powerful the 3 old vanathais were) to attack them in that council room, after clicking the accept button in the warning dialog box I got a message saying something like "Now the Vanhatais know they were right being suspicious of you and therefore they decide to keep the magic barriers that divide EXILE, after that the empire attacks..." and so on, funny thing they mentioned exile and not avernum... :P

Actually you are awfully right, thanks a lot for it, I must be really needing GLASSES. :P
I started late using the maps in the website, at the beginning I just played it my way and now I've been checking the excellent marps, well I think I have...
Thank you anyway!

Hi guys,
I got so sad after completing the scenarios of blades of A. that now I am playin A1. I've got the pommel and tip of the demoslayer, according to the "annotated map" I know I the blade is actually inside the Slith Temple, I been there and killed everyone, but I can't enter as I need an "iron key" Does anyone know where that one is?
Thank you in advance.

I voted Avernum. Even though I started back in 1997 playing the Exile series, which I loved at the time, I liked the avernum more, mainly because of the faster way you can communicate with everyone in towns. Exile had this dialogue box where you had the enter the correct words or you wouldn't make it. Also I live in a Spanish speaking country and English is my second, that makes another point.

Waiting turns is the best thing to do to learn how the beams change. Needless to say you have to go combat mode in that part. I remember I pushed the mirrors somewhere northwest and killed the efreets without much trouble, use your best ranged attacks (spells or missiles) and do a lot of haste before meeting the enemies so you can strike first.
good luck!

Good Luck!

In Spanish our punctuation is quite similar to English,
so for:
"A little over 500 years ago, America was discovered."

we write:
"Hace poco más de 500 años atrás, América fue descubierta" in Spanish.

I also first saw the pic and said to myself "who's this hot girl?" then I came to read and woo hoo! wow, perception is a weird thing!
Now 2 questions:
1) Did you have to modify your voice as well to sound like a lady? or you just went on speaking naturally to make it funnier?
2) Did any unaware male invited you or asked your phone number?
As you said, it's a nice joke for one or 2 times a year, but keep repeating it... ups, you might end up  being a little too... ;)
hahaha.
PS.you like Boy George? :D

Yeah, any game, then open an image editor like "Paintbrush" and click on "paste", then save it as jpg and there you go!

Have fun.

And which is the scenario? Isn't it possible to get those high numbers with the Character Editor that comes with BoA??

I have the HLPM but haven't unpacked it yet.

This pic was taken a few minutes ago, while I strongly recommend you not to look at it if you still have not played or advanced much in Diplomacy because this could be a spoiler for the plot you're yet to know :)

Anyway, the moment of the decision, I chose to help the poor vamp, let's see what happens now. IMAGE(http://enf.4t.com/vampire.jpg)

sorry if it's too big, I'll resize next ones, this was the first. :P

Hi,
Let's put here the best "screen" photos you get from battles or important moments from scenarios in BoA?
It would be nice to have them commented.
I'll try one mine now.

That sounds nice, I wouldn't venture to play singleton yet, but I was wondering what happens if you are attacked with forcecage?

Yeah, the "solution" would be not to use it, but it's too good to quit them, and seeing only the giants' legs is ok. The same happens to the "computer" when the enemies use the summon arcana they also get "half" giants.

Great, I got the Ophal thing and got back to Koth fortress but I must have messed with his statues because as soon as I got in range his library spirits attacked me and so did he when I approached, after a few rod of arcana tunes ;) and a nice simulacrum he passed away...
Now I finished that scenario -the worst in my opinion.
Cheers!

Thank you, I had a hard time to pass through the lasers in normal mode :( and I managed!
Now it's funny to know it was in combat mode... I should have known before hehe.
Anyway, I made it and killed not only the eefrets but also some fire hydras. The problem is that the dragon didn't find me interesting, he needs something else. Where do I find the crystal I've heard he looks for? is it in the Ophal Empire isolated fort??? I am entering it now..

I got into Morog's castle and accepted her request. I started checking the rooms, but at some point I returned and Morog started attacking me (maybe I killed one of her pets) and then I managed to kill her as well. I left the castle and returned and she was alive and kicking again(!) but hostile.
Now I have the mushrooms but as I soon I enter the castle they attack me, even the patrols are hostile.
Alas, I am also unable to find the crystal of purity Khoth wants.
Help me please!

Hi,
Every time I saw giants during the first tow scenarios everything was ok, but when I started using the "rod of arcana" in the run of the (insert name of the river here) I only see the giant's legs. It's strange. I liked the rod and used the Character editor to add a few more, then again the same story I only see their legs moving and throwing rocks.
Do you know why?
I am downloading the patch, hope it'll fix it.
