Infernal, cut it out. Couldn't you please hesitate about five seconds before hitting "Add Reply" and ask yourself: "Who the hell is going to care about what I'm about to say?" And if the answer is "None/Me", could you lay off it?

I'm letting this thread stay open for now. Imban probably won't. If this is the case and Dikiyoba has any other questions about the hosting thing, Dikiyoba can send email.

Yours is still there. :P

As is one I made two years ago and haven't touched or logged into since then.

Dikiyoba:

[bunch of questions]
1. Drupal handles itself pretty smoothly and with an intuitive interface. You'd have no problem configuring it, creating pages and editing the links in the sidebar.

For things that do require mucking about with PHP, I could do it on short notice (outside of exams).

2. Aside from occasional downtime, it'll be there as long as I'm there to pay for the hosting. Which I plan to keep doing for a few years yet.

Some people who've provided free hosting for Spiderwebbers *cough*Lady J*cough* have disappeared into the night, their sites disappearing on short notice. I promise I won't do that. Unless I unexpectedly die or something. Or become unemployed and homeless.

3. I can't stop my host from logging access for the last 3 days. But your logs will be private, and I'll even promise not to read them. :P

I'll miss level-less skill points.

Also, a blasphemous thought: If it is possible to adapt the BoA engine to the point where it uses a different set of spells and skills, could that form of the engine ever be released to the public?

Also, "Nethergate: Resurrection" - what happened to giving remakes dramatic names derived from Latin?

"Inferusporta"? :P

I'd love to hear a longer, complete piece based on the theme of Avernum 2. Of the others... Avernum 3 is nice, Nethergate is kind of cool, Blades of Avernum isn't bad either. I couldn't stand any of the Nethergate themes for some reason - especially GF2 with its repetitiveness.

That sounds kind of ambiguous. Guarding against attacks or voters of the opposing parties?

According to Riverbend, the fundie groups are doing their part to disrupt the country, and she can usually be relied on not to have a pro-occupation bias...

Kelandon is supposed to be an oldbie.

Accidentally posting an empty poll "just to test something" is noobish behavior.

Although since Kel is a mod, he could have just done this there and deleted the topic afterwards. Nobody would know. :P

Edit: Could have did, indeed.
