And don't forget about the chitrachs. Really, what is all this talk about singletons being challenging? They require different tactics than a full party, and I suppose the first half hour could be challenging in theory, but... -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

This all depends a lot on the size of the eggs we're talking about. Chicken egg sized eggs would be fine. Human baby sized eggs... not so much. This would really cause a storm with all the pro-life and pro-choice screamers, though. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

The old, angry but still sane Rentar Ihrno would just get it over with. The not quite sane, not quite demonic, not quite crystal soul version would probably tie him up first. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

It really does muck things up to lump together all the changes that were made. The changes to combat and to geography received extremely different receptions. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

museumfreak is correct. Synergy pointed that error out to me a month ago at least, and I haven't had time to get around to fixing it. I can't help it if G4 ended up being less engrossing than emulated Nethergate! -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

I don't want to have to say this, but this thread has made me inclined to agree with Jewels. The refusal of both parties to deny their uniplicity can only mean one of two things: 1) Salmon is ET 2) Salmon and ET want people to be confused about whether or not they are the same person #2 seems completely out of character for ET (although not Salmon). But ET's recent posts have not sounded entirely like his first posts. They have in places, but in other places they have sounded more silly and less bizarrely imperial -- more like Salmon. The other thing that troubles me is that ET has no backstory whatsoever. Most members end up here because of a game, or less commonly, another member. Neither of those is the case for ET, unless he came first and then lurked, and that seems completely out of character for him. So it's not the only possibility, but there is absolutely nothing to contradict Salmon being ET, and it now makes more sense than any other option. You can add Slarty and TM to the list of non-believers. So it's not just Jewels. Looks neat. I'm not sure it's necessary, given how easy it is to edit the item scripts, which are in fairly plain language once you look up the stat ID numbers. But it looks nice. I'm pretty sure there is a maximum number of it_stat_to_affect x variables you can use. I'm not sure if there is a combined limit for pc stat variables and pet stat variables, or if each has a flat limit. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

For #2, it definitely affects the level of characters you encounter. This in turn affects their Str, Dex, Int, End, Health and Spell Energy. Those in turn affect their hit and dodge rates and the damage their attacks do. As far as I know it doesn't affect anything else, but I could be wrong. It DEFINITELY does not affect experience, item drops, characters encountered, quantity of monsters encountered, quests, dialogue, etc. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

Well, I'm sorry to hear that, Kel. Whatever individual members think of your work, I can think of very few scenarios that I've heard as much acclaim for as I have for Bahssikava, and certainly no BoA scenarios. Certainly you are on the relatively short list of noteworthy scenario designers. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

Thuryl, this challenge is proving far too easy for you. So it's obvious what the next one has to be. The Trakovite Royale. I haven't looked at that link in a while. Jewels, the table looks very nice. Also, I hate to say it, but I would probably resurrect ET. I don't entirely like what he does, but I recognize the need for it nonetheless. However, let me say right now that any resurrections I am involved in are not going to be done with that Galactic Core nonsense. The only orthodox option is to prepare a Bull of Life and then cast Graze Dead. First of all, one on one, an Eyebeast will die horribly against a Drakon. It does fire damage, which Drakons are very resistant to, and it does not resist the Drakon's breath. Its melee attack is actually a lot better, but the fear effect won't work on a drakon, so the drakon still comes out ahead. Gazers are on more of an even plane. Where the heck did you get this idea about a Gazer Collective? Gazers have always been presented as individualistic and reluctant to cooperate with others. That is also exactly why they have not amounted to anything the same way the Drakons have. Individual gazers seem to act sort of parallel to the more insular of the insane shapers, like Spharon or Shaila. They do not have the capacity for social organization that drakons do. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

Do Ivory Skulls increase hit rate? I forget what they do on armor, but if that's it, then yeah, definitely. I think you'll still want Golden Crystals in the end, since your best missile options hit everything anyway, though. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |
