I played a Servile warrior right through, with no battle magic and no mental magic use. I basically depended on Blessing magic. But even there my top spell was Essence armor. I had regeneration for my top healing spell. Otherwise i just blessed and hacked away. Wingbolts were particularly difficult as they kept running away and I had no way to stop them, save cornering. Exactly. Why would I want major heal, when I don't even have enough points in healing craft? It just seems like there's an abundance of "spell" canisters. -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

I felt severely underpowered as a servile melee warrior. Even now when I've been tromping around some of the harder areas like Matala (sp?), I still fell like I can't hit. My damage is nearly 200 + after two swings. But that isn't enough to take a wing-bolt down. A third swing however would be perfect for many situations. I just didn't feel as powerful as in pervious G1-G3 games. And, what's with all the canisters that boost spells? I would rather have +1 to strength or healing craft or spell-craft or dexterity. I could have gotten through the game using no canisters. They simply aren't beneficial to a warrior. Oh well, I probably just put my skill points into the wrong areas like melee weapons and such. Excellent game though. -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

The lanterns where fun. I only used them once or twice in the begining. But my character seemed to be glowing any way, so light wasn't a huge issue. :) -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

It was cold here. But now it's warmer -14C or so. I like driving in the snow and laughing at people on the coast that don't know how. Yellow is by far the colour of mod. I hate words with too manu vowels, Dioecious, perhaps. -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

Excellent! The combat was interesting, sometimes frustrating. But in the end it just seemed more "real" than many games. It was like playing through a story and not playing just to do sh1t. -------------------- The Knight Between Posts. Posts: 2395 | Registered: Friday, November 2 2001 08:00 |

Every Geneforge game I just end up dieing or something horrible. The first time I played mosly loyal to the Shapers with the hopes of creating a stalmate at the last control panel. But ahhh I gave up the Unbound's plans to Alwan. Apparently that was a huge problem. So the Drakons chop my head off. I really wanted to help the Trakovites but I didn't realise giving the plans way was so crucial. BTW: Is there any way I could read all of the various endings without playing through multiple times, which I don't have time for. Thanks. -------------------- The Knight Between Posts.
