Firstly, he was referring to the MOVIE (motion picture) of Harry Potter. While I disgust the thought of anything Harry Potter (you call that fantasy?), I did happen to know that. Secondly, unless you want to offend RPG heads, it's usually spelt 'griffon'. The y is used by modern people who read Harry Potter. Also, a scenario revolving around saving/killing griffons is hardly anything to be excited about. Maybe some... oh I dunno... story might help? On second thought, these boards lack many (any?) RPG heads... so use the y if you want. I'll get over it. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Force: No. But if you want to include a pre-made party, go ahead. You'll just need to let the user know that the scenario will not be enjoyable without using the supplied character. You could do what I like to do, and look over the player's inventory. If they aren't carrying a certain item (meaing they aren't using your characters), kill them instantly! Good way to 'force' usage. [ Thursday, June 17, 2004 07:44: Message edited by: The Demonslayer ] -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! quote:That's the problem. I, personally, no longer hold copies. And I think they were deleted from the internet years ago. I wasn't a member of the forums back then (I just spied), so I can't tell you what monikers they might be under. Probably for the better, seeing as how bad they most likely were. I was proud of 2/6. They usually dealt with a satanic cult called the "People of Set", who tried various schemes to bring their god, Set, back to the world and kill all the infidels. So the names of the scenarios had tendencies to be along those lines. I can't quite recall some examples... I'll try to find some records of them somewhere. Anyway, I suggest trying my style as it seemed a bit different than most, with the way I developed characters. It would seem that most people (no one) has played them, so perhaps someone would like to try them out to tell me if I should even bother or not. I recall a moniker, "Izod". So try looking for that. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

I'm currently working on something. It uses only custom graphics... nothing that came with the game. Needless to say, making those graphics is taking the longest time (tho that will probably change when I get further into the story and such). I was going to suggest getting used to my "style", but I have no idea where any of my BOE scenarios ended up. Or what name they might be under... -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! I used to get this a lot on files I tried to download. This can usually be fixed by a restart, I've found. I think it's typically your computer, not the website. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Well back to my home in Greensboro, first off. Then I'll be joining a Half-Life2 mod team. I can't really tell you much about that, since it hasn't started yet. -------------------- Better to die for something, than live for nothing. Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Alas, it seems my time here has reached a conclusion. Without many (any) personal relationships here, this leaving won't be too painful for anyone, anyway. It seems that I've just joined a mod team for HL2, so that cuts my time for SW antics to 0. While I enjoyed my time causing confusion among useless posts, I must take my leave and bid farewell. I will, of course, remain to check this boards just to at least see what's going on, but count me out of the race. To those that I held the occasional intelligent conversation with, it was a pleasure and an honor. To those that I DIDN'T hold intelligent conversation with, I hate you and I hope you never bother me again. Farewell Spiderweb community... but not good-bye. [end needlessly dramatic farewell post] -------------------- Better to die for something, than live for nothing. Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Okay? You want help or you just wanted to say that? Sarcasm aside: What seems to be the problem (symptoms)? Perhaps THEN we can help. -------------------- Better to die for something, than live for nothing. Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

And perhaps the whole fact about me already owning the Avernum series... why would I want to play through that again? In the time it would take to complete this, you could make so much better, original stuff. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

You mean cheat? Anyway, yes you obviously will be able to edit your characters' stats. Why else would it be called a (dum dum dum...) "Character Editor"? -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |
