No. Have you read 'Survivor's Guide to the Apocalypse'?

For the record, in the end, it will James who has the major fight Geltor, not Seoth. That was set up early in the story. 'Sides, Seoth has a psycho-chick or two to deal with. Just as poor Silros may get stuck battling the uber demon lord of sheer 'ow this is gonna hurt me a lot.' If not, I'll have a lot of BSing to do.

On a sidenote: I would like to take this time to needlessly advertise Firefox, the web browser that has built in spell check(or at least my copy does, I haven't used it on any other computer).

In any decently run universe, that guy would've been thrown out on his omnipotent arse a long time ago. But I suppose that's what's wrong with every realm/plane of existence. There isn't any decent upper management.

But everyone already knows that Yu-gi-oh proved creationism was wrong

Note: Link isn't G-Rated, more like PG-13 for those who care. Or R in some places(like Utah). That should be enough to make me blameless now.

I hate to say it, but trying to base anything scientific on a religious book written by man is one of the least intelligent things people have done in history. That would be like constructing a building using Dr Seuss's buildings as an example. You can do it, but it will be hard and not work very well.

Yeah, one of these days the universe should get an over deity or two and keep some of the more troublesome deities(which is pretty much most of them) in check.

EDIT: On a sienote, I really do wonder what would've happened with that Death God and Crazy Goddess storyline. I haven't seen anything out of them in a while, so does that mean that they're out?

Since it seemed like a good idea... That and it was briefly mentioned, but not discussed when James and her had that little argument when he went to see her. It kinda makes sense, though. She had her own power which she used to do the whole James the Deity false religion thing to make money. Some people figured it out, but liked her enough to start worshiping her... Or something like that.

The title is Goddess of Corporate Enterprise, which roughly translates to less than legal/moral businesses, such as false religion, slave trade, extortion, drugs, prostitution, law firms, big corporations, ect. Little of which has anything to do with the demon war and undead armies. The only problem she has with the evil villains is the trouble it causes for her business plans.

Having done what they started out, the Triad met in their secret cave lair. "So, was everyone successful," Joshua asked. "Somewhat," answered Ryan, "I'm fairly confident that Seoth will attend the meeting." "Kuber seemed reluctant," Kesh replied, "However, greed should be enough to motivate him to show up. How did things fair with you, Joshua?" "As expected the negotiations were a complete failure," Joshua said, "I look forward to Geltor's death, even if it's James who ends up causing it. Speaking of that idiot, Geltor seemed surprising interested in capturing James for someone who is supposed to be powerful. Truthfully, the guy can't be that powerful if he and some so-called demon god together can't take down someone as retarded as James." "Um, dude, we never could do it," Ryan interjected. "True, but whenever any of us tried it, he had Minoko and a major network of powerful people backing him up," Kesh said, "If that Serena woman is best James has watching his back, then he should be more than easy enough for a god to take down." Extremely surprised by this, Joshua said, "Serena's with him?! I don't believe it. That jerk stole my girlfriend!" "Dude, she never was your girlfriend," Ryan interjected, "Besides, there are a lot more attractive women who aren't intent on torturing every man they encounter." "I suppose your right," Joshua said, "but for some reason, when I look at her, I just feel like there's some sort of a connection between us. Like she's the one." Kesh casually walked up to Joshua, smacked him, and said, "What the hell's wrong with you! She's pure evil for crying out loud." "She's not evil. Almost all the women of her species are like that," Ryan said, "Kesh, just because something doesn't suit your ideals doesn't mean it's evil and should be destroyed. You would do well to remember that." "Perhaps," Kesh said with some smugness, "This concludes the meeting." And so they left in their standard manor.

That's what I get for watching Mystery Science Theatre 3000 instead of religiously watching these forums.

Demonic Lawyer who hunts down demons... Yeah, I don't know why the hell I thought that was a good character idea(what's even worse is that I came up with it before I ever saw an episode of Charmed)

With any luck, this'll tone down the war thing a bit for those people who want to do non-combat orientated storylines. Then when the war finally does go down, it'll be done right and be cool and stuff, even though I personally would like to see it wrapped up more quickly, rather than slowly.

I just hope Safey decides to discuss with me about the lawyer guy before dealing with him in any big way. Anyone who's actually paid some attention to my IC posts should be able to figure out some reasons why.

Not really. That's the lawyer. They're indestructible. If you manage to kill a lawyer, they just pop back up in 5 to 7 business days, at which time they sue you for everything you're worth and then some. Everyone knows that.

Strategy in General

Strategy depends on group strength vs opponents' strength. Weak guys you just charge wildly, without any concern for injury, into them, killing them one by one. Strong opponents... not so much.

Essentially, strategy is decision making as per the definition given for this poll. So thus the answer is definitively 'yes' for basically everyone.

Sadly, I know a couple of people who'd agree.

On a sidenote, Charmed was a good show... for a very small portion of it. To be specific the episodes with that guy who played Dr Doom on the Fantastic Four movie. Any other episodes just plain sucked.

That said, enjoy not having to deal with me for the rest of the weekend.

EDIT: I see I wasn't the only one who took a break this past weekend...

More EDIT: I tacked on some(a lot) of stuff to my last post in the IC. I really didn't see a need to post a completely new post. That and I really don't want do too much to needlessly raise the IC closer to the board's post limits.

If only you had cut(forcefully if needed) power to the computer immediately, taken apart the laptop, and dry it out. Then your problem wouldn't be quite as bad. Contrary to popular belief, you can get electronics wet, as long as it doesn't have a bunch of paper insulation and/or capacitors(I don't know why they make them), and if you dry it off without it having power for any significant length of time, the piece of electronics will be reasonably fine(especially if it didn't have power going to it while wet).

it should read [sarcasm](statement)[/sarcasm]

That's the most important thing I've learned from these forums in all my time here.

Btw, FF, the Energy Balls in this context are more of a Charmed thing, than DBZ. So's the fiery teleportation and a handful of other crap.

Okay, now FF is starting to cross the line just a little too much for my tastes. I do find the comments made about my posts somewhat insulting, but hell, I've already given up on trying to convince people that the good(ish) plot I'm working towards really exists.

Look, dude, even when I wasn't having my character go to war, I took some crap over him. I have him go to war, so most everyone else doesn't have to, with the guys' characters who think the war's a good idea, and I take a lot of crap about it. Now, I either missed them or they weren't there, but I never saw any real suggestions on how I should be handling my character. I'm trying to get my character and associates to fight a war that most of the group doesn't want to fool with for whatever reason, and I'm trying to develop my characters. Like many of you, I've got ideas and creativity and would like to do some of them. I'm trying a hellava lot harder than y'all give me credit for. All I want is the same fair chance I've given all of you.

Now, that said. I get that a lot of y'all don't like the war idea. I truthfully didn't expect it to be quite as big a pain as it has been. If I had had my way, all that crap would've been over with already, but as I recall one or two of the people complaining about it now were the ones who said that a 'fight between gods should take a while' and it has, much to everyone's annoyance. If the fighting ever gets wrapped up, I have every intention of returning to my original objectives with my character, primarily interaction with other deities and finding out more about what it really means to be a god.

And James isn't retarded, so thus must have his own personal fortune teller. It's not my fault it bores people, but the fact remains that good intelligence gather, be it mundane or magical, is vital to whatever the hell it is James the Deity(or anyone else for that matter) does.

I remember seeing that stealth system in action. A friend of mine raised it up to really high trying to follow some ghost who always managed to spot him, even when he got it up real high and was doing legitimate stealth. Might have been a glitch, but it was still annoying.

I find that trying to do stealth in something other than a first person shooter to be just a little pointless. 'Specially in RPGs where you should have magic to do stealthy stuff for you.

He's just mad cause he didn't think to conjure himself his own Oracle with divination magics and telepathy.

It's more of a convenience thing. James can technically do that stuff himself, but why do that when someone else can.

On a side note: does 1000 people, most of which won't be battle ready for several months, sound a bit too much, or is that acceptable?

Bring X to Y... Oblivion had it's share of that, and no one seemed to complain. I do agree some more interesting quests couldn't hurt. I haven't really had a chance to play the more current games due to budget issues, but in the olden days, the side and main quests seemed to be quite interesting.
