Your words to the hearts of the creators ... Suggestion: The most part is about fights. Maybe you could add something about the levels of spells you can buy in the scen (not the rewards). -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? -------------------- ^ö^ Vegetarians are sexy. Solar power is the wave of the future. I would take the title. As longer I think about custom titles for Alorael, as more I like Your Postliness. What would be better than the holy distinction YP? The Signature? The unmatched One? The unlimited Mind? No. Nothing beats Your Postliness. (As far as somebody else gets that title too, however ...) ( ^ "" -------------------- ^ö^ Vegetarians are sexy. As everybody knows, experience increases rather quickly in the beginning and starts to slow down, when you come to higher levels. Thus, a party spends much more time, exploring scenarios at a high level. Strictly speaking, we need exactly one low level scenario - and VoDT is a perfect one: After completing it, the party will have level between 10 and 20. So please, honourable creators, don't overstock us with low level scenarios. Who wants always start with a new party ( and feel the lack of all the hard collected spells, you had already before ...)? We need more tough and tricky scens! We survived DwtD and expect some real challenge ... TM, no insult against RoR. I think anyway, that you declared it too low. It could rather be for L12 then for 1-6 (( ;) / (o LL -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? VoDT is supposed to be a low level-scenario. But there is a door (in GIFTS cave), that opens only with a tool use ability of 25. The Vahnatai mage sells spells for a mage level of 10. Why? It's impossible to open that door or to buy these spells, if you are only beginners. As a curious cat I played it again at higher level ... the general thrill faded away, because all the monsters were suddenly below my party's abilities. I'm wondering, if beta-testers criticized that inequality of level. Ok, it's not that important. It does not bother the main quest. I just asked me, why Jeff puts these impossibilities .. )/  ) WW -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? If you mean the room with the healing rod in the NW: You go through three locked doors, the third room has a secret entry at the northwall. You are in a room with a locked door (needs 15 tool use) and come to another room with secret door. The rod is in the last room in a blue box. (On the walkthrough map marked with D.) -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? Posts: 1420 | Registered: Wednesday, October 2 2002 07:00 |

I agree, that ZKR is kind of complicated, when you play it the first time. But, you got 14 days for the run, and once you learned to decide between important quests and surplus fights - e.g. you do need the poppy-charm from Moron - you have enough time, to save Fort Cavalier. There are always time-reminder dialogue boxes and warnings, when you enter a dead end. The scenario would lose a lot, when it would be shorter. I appreciate the so called fillers, they allow you, to play it several times and to discover different ways to fulfil the main question. The only thing, I dislike: you can't go back to follow the side quests after passing Koth's place ... So ZKR makes you run - more than once. -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? Posts: 1420 | Registered: Wednesday, October 2 2002 07:00 |

I tend to be a rather domiciled adventurer, and I miss a cosy home to return after doing quests (sigh). There are so many magical weapons and armours to find, more than I could wear, especially when I play with a single PC. And I loved Hawke's house in A3, because I could decorate it with worthless items like skulls or crystals :D Of course you could integrate a home into a bigger scenario, but it's senseless when everything is erased by leaving the scen (sigh again). BoA makes me homeless, alas, but you cannot have everything ... -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? Then there is no way to save the SDFs instead of erasing them, when the party leaves the scen? Too bad, my idea just died. -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? Posts: 1420 | Registered: Wednesday, October 2 2002 07:00 |

Would it be possible, to make a scenario, that will not reset to start, when you re-enter it? In other words: Could I create a storage-place like Hawke's mansion, where I could leave items and refind them? -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? Maybe, your defense-level is too low? As far I remember, there is a very limited number of Spectral Warriors ... about 8? I didn't find them too hard with a party of four fighters, who know Repel Spirit L3 as well :) -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet?
