Would it be possible, to make a scenario, that will not reset to start, when you re-enter it? In other words: Could I create a storage-place like Hawke's mansion, where I could leave items and refind them?

Actually, you might be able to rig something with SDFs, by stuffing the item number of whatever was dropped into a flag. You'd have to set aside a "block" of SDFs to hold item numbers (so no open-ended storage, but if you're willing to give up enough SDFs you could make storage capability rather high).

Be a major PITA to script, though...

Yeah, I was about to say that, but the thing is that the party will leave the entire scen, thus erasing the SDFs.

Ah... sorry, the Hawke's mansion reference didn't mean anything to me (and so I guess I should've kept my mouth shut ;) ).

Yeah, if the intent is some place where one party can drop stuff and another party can come pick it up, then, no, it's not possible. As Eldiran pointed out, the SDFs will be reset.

I was thinking of a centralized drop spot within a single scenario, where the party could return and drop off excess baggage. In that case, the SDFs would be in the save file, and it would work.

Then there is no way to save the SDFs instead of erasing them, when the party leaves the scen? Too bad, my idea just died.

Though a place to leave your stuff would be useful, are you sure it would be good for the game? You are meant to be a party of adventurers, and adventurers generally doesn't have such a "home". This would take away some of the good choices BoA forces you to do - i.e. if you should pick up a good, but heavy, item. Is it worth the trouble to carry it with you?
With this storage place you could leave heavy items to pick them up later, then removing some of the point with that choice - which is a part of the game. Are you really sure you would like to have such a dungeon, even if it was possible?

I tend to be a rather domiciled adventurer, and I miss a cosy home to return after doing quests (sigh). There are so many magical weapons and armours to find, more than I could wear, especially when I play with a single PC. And I loved Hawke's house in A3, because I could decorate it with worthless items like skulls or crystals :D
Of course you could integrate a home into a bigger scenario, but it's senseless when everything is erased by leaving the scen (sigh again). BoA makes me homeless, alas, but you cannot have everything ...

i seem to have a rather draconian attitude, nver wanting to give up something valuable. I still have that flaming sword from VodT and morogs scepter and khoth's droppings. For some wierd reaso anything magical i do not like to throw away or sell...a sort of residence in which to put it in (/me imagines his house full of magical relics from all over the world) i mean stuff that was hard as hell to get like the giantslayer from the 8 dark wyrms in the hidden pit....how can anyone sell or discard that?

GIVE US HOUSES!!! we work our heads off to keep the world at peace, make thousands upon the completion of the mission plus the 2 or 3 times that we got in the process, after doing all 5 (RoR included) scenarios i had a straight 20'000 coins, no cheating, and im not 100% sure about how much that is relatively but im pretty sure you can buy a house with it

LODGEMENTS TO THE ADVENTURERS!!

ps: i dont mind if its some hovel in an adventurers guild or a yurt in the middle of nowhere, someone please make one of these, my skills lack.

The most one could do is record the ID number of the item in a word processing document and then use the editor to give it back to you when you want it.

In BoE, I hoard particularly interesting artifacts in a scenario I made. If it has no ability that ability strength would affect, I just put it into the scenario via the editor. If it has such an ability, I look in the scenario file I got it from, and if I can't, I experiment until I get it right.
This may be harder in BoA though, due to scripts. I'll just have to wait until it's released for Windows to find out.
