But Jeff is planning to sell it. If people could get an Exile-copy for free, they would not support Spiderweb anymore. And what's the point of copying a story? Why don't you just take something out of Odyssey or King Lear. There are hundreds of classical stories, suitable for games. -------------------- ^ö^ Vegetarians are sexy. I'm glad about Avernum ![]() I couldn't play Exile, when I tried the demo. After avernum, the Exile graphics seemed to be so horribly confusing flat - I lost any desire to enter that 2D world ... But I can imagine Exile as a great game, if one is familar with the old design. -------------------- ^ö^ Vegetarians are sexy. Solar power is the wave of the future. When I bless and haste, they curse and slow me all the time - Kijellka and the other mage are damn strong. To come back to the original topic: Thank you for that sequence Koth. It's exciting to play and full of surprises. I loved the three wands, especially the polymorphing one :D But, why (...now the complaints), why you guys always declare your scenarios as lower than they are? Really, I tried it with L1 - the last fight is impossible! Nowhere in the scen you can buy skills, so everything stays at L1; the potions to buy are limited ... I just failed with the L1-party (without cheating). I even failed with a L17 singleton, the last fight is far above L1-3. I would say, Babysitting is at least about L6-10. Second: Because everybody likes Babysiitting, it is quite a shock to come to the end so early. But it's lay-out would hopefully allow to add the missing parts of the adventure, no? :P -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? Reassuring to see, that some people still reflect on revolution. edit: FBM, believe Djur, the original is french. Created for the Commune of Paris, has it been adapted soon by communists and socialists all over the world. From 1922 on it was the national hymn in the Sovjet Union. There are - except VoDT in the manual - another two walkthroughs already online: ASR and ZKR. I didn't use them, so I don't know, if they are exactly the same. They might be at least similar. -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? Posts: 1420 | Registered: Wednesday, October 2 2002 07:00 |

Milu, you were right, my expander was too old. And strange, I had such problems the first time. Ok, that's the point: I cannot unstuff the "babysitting.cmg.sit" - it just doesn't react with Stuffit Expander 6.0.1. And I found another file called "babysitting.bas" inside the folder, that is not readable like all the other scripts. But downloading is working perfect now (I made several downloads to unstuff that cmg.sit ... ) -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? I had once a chinese version on a vinyl single, about 1970 ... anyway the original is the french one from Eugene Pottier. And yes, they do still play it at the MayDay demonstrations. -------------------- ^ö^ Vegetarians are sexy. Solar power is the wave of the future. The third time, the vampire hides behind the magical barriers in his castle. You have to talk to lord Maynard. He tells you, how to break trough that barrier. AFAIK, you can also help the vampire to escape, then you have to fight Maynard and his guards ... -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? I downloaded the scen again (and it worked - without the foo-trick). When I open the cell, where the sister should be, I get the following message: "Error! Failed to load this graphic: sheet 502, icon 0. The editor might have run out of memory but, more likely, the graphic it was trying to find wasn't there." I got this message by starting the game too. Race? The sister is always invisible, no race at all. -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? Thus I posted at least a piece of poem from the Blocksberg-scene. It describes the flight-tricks of witches and concludes: Who didn't fly tonight, will never fly. I stuck and don't find my sister. Should she be in the bandit's lair? I found - except of quickfire - one room with 3 slimes, one empty room, one room, where I can pick up lord Ashton. After escorting the ungrateful lord back to the city - I find him again in his cell ... weird  -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? quote:I have a 40/42 party and my lowest save is a singleton L17 (after VoDT). Yes, I played every scen two or three times, they are worth it. The reason, why I keep my high level party trough all scens: they know a lot of spells and I can get rid of bearing all that crystals and scrolls with me. I ponder, if it would be possible, to get levels over 50/60 without cheating. After 40, it raises reeeeally slow :P -------------------- Slartucker: * facepalm facepalm facepalm * Dikiyoba: Are you unconscious yet? Posts: 1420 | Registered: Wednesday, October 2 2002 07:00 |
