How can you say that Schroedinger and Heisenberg weren't great? Do you know what they did? So, okay, their ideas don't directly effect you and me, but the later applications have. Maybe making millions of dollars was not their primary goal. Some people do research just for the joy of discovering new things. -------------------- You acquire an item: Radio Free Foil Posts: 1169 | Registered: Monday, September 23 2002 07:00 |

Alorael is right. I don't know where you got the idea that scientists get paid less because of the work they do is not "social". I will be spending the next ten years in school (very social) because I love what I plan to do. In fact I have to go to class right now but I will be back. -------------------- You acquire an item: Radio Free Foil Posts: 1169 | Registered: Monday, September 23 2002 07:00 |

I wasn't sure where to put this, but here seemed like a good idea. According to the Periodic Table, Richard White is element 118. The description says it hasn't been discovered yet, but it recently has. Just FYI. Wow. You have way too much time on your hands. I've never played any of those games. Well, I did play Ocarina of Time for about 10 minuets and I sometimes play Mario on my calculator, but I don't think that counts. Help! Firefox is going crazy! -------------------- You acquire an item: Radio Free Foil Posts: 1169 | Registered: Monday, September 23 2002 07:00 |

I am a True Neutral Half-Elven Bard. Gah! I'm not a bard! Other than the bard thing, it's pretty close to my preferred character type. True neutral is good and so is half-elven, but I prefer sorcerer or druid. Shifter ftw! -------------------- You acquire an item: Radio Free Foil Posts: 1169 | Registered: Monday, September 23 2002 07:00 |

Not really Mystic. Most people think that Avernum is easier. Well, it definently is. I was almost done playing A2 through on torment with a singleton, but I wiped my harddrive just befor getting the last Crystal Soul. So sad. -------------------- You acquire an item: Radio Free Foil Posts: 1169 | Registered: Monday, September 23 2002 07:00 |

This discussion remindes me of a ballot proposal in Arizona a few years ago. Well, about ten years ago so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details. Anyway, it said something along the lines of forcing all bills to be writen shuch that yes meant it was for the proposal and no was against it. Sounds good, but there was some sneaky little thing in there that cut park funding or something. Sneaky little jerks. -------------------- You acquire an item: Radio Free Foil Posts: 1169 | Registered: Monday, September 23 2002 07:00 |

It is used medical fields. My chemistry teacher went on and on about how he had Technetium injected into his body for x-rays or something. He was very proud of that. -------------------- You acquire an item: Radio Free Foil Posts: 1169 | Registered: Monday, September 23 2002 07:00 |
