This shouldn't be a major engine change, and would be backward compatible, but the town details menu has 2 unused fields. Could it be possible the convert one of those fields to load a custom town graphic background? (The picture behind the character in the inventory screen) It looks really odd to have a mountain in the background, but you're in the middle of the desert.

That is what this critique was for. I wanted to see how good people felt. It doesn't look so hot in the daylight though, so I'm going to create an unlit version to be replaced by it in the daylight.

Please critique. I've trying to create a low height lamp for my town (see picture).

Would you change the colors, style, detail (quite hard to do actually), or perhaps the design.

Only 20! Gah. TM is right, you quickly run out. I had planned to create a squad script (I hadn't actually typed/tested it, only outlined) for a 5 man squad. It used a large number of variables... I guess I'll have to redesign.

Just a guess, but variables consume memory. The SDFs are limited to lower the memory requirements.

If the variables were to persist, then they would require larger (is there a limit to # of variables per script?) amounts of memory. If there was no limit, then you could reallllllllly big files, and a lot of RAM would be tied up.

Custom Icons are loaded when the game is loaded.

A game is not loaded until after you select the game.

Scenario icons are loaded before that point. Thus no custom scneario icons. If you placed the icon in the default sheets, it would load... But that wouldn't work for anyboy else.

Could we "donate" graphics to Jeff (Scen and Item) to be included in later releases so that anyone may use/see them for multiple scenarios?

Can you really have only 90 custom states, or only custom sates numbered from 10-99?

I've used states numbered in the 200+ range (had to be called from a 10-99 numbered state)

If there is no way to calculate the weight of a party/individual, then a function to do so would be nice.

A very nice and concise script Keladon.

EDIT:
And no, I did not guess that the variables would reset. It mentions/alludes to that fact in the BoA Docs.

I believe that variables are wiped when the game is reloaded outdoors, or scripts are reloaded.

Also, variables are limited in scope to their scripts. SDF's are global.

If you used tick_difference, how would you record what the ealier time should be worth?

Tick_difference should not used when the chance of someone clearing the variables exists.
