I wouldn't be surprised if there were a split between Drakon and human rebellions - they're after different things. I have a hard time distinguishing Drakons from hardline Shapers. -------------------- Great Potato "Unless by the force of eloquence they mean the force of truth; for if such is their meaning, I admit that I am eloquent." -- Socrates Posts: 126 | Registered: Thursday, September 27 2001 07:00 |

That would be nice, if ezboard didn't persist in unlogging people every 10 minutes. EDIT: And Jewels, have you tried Drizzt? All of the online games I've played that aren't FPS have been turn-based. -------------------- Great Potato "Unless by the force of eloquence they mean the force of truth; for if such is their meaning, I admit that I am eloquent." -- Socrates Posts: 126 | Registered: Thursday, September 27 2001 07:00 |

It's more serious than a warning. It shows we're not to be reckoned with. If they try to evade it, then it's a permaban. If they break the rules again, it's a permaban. Remember that this is a board for spidweb's games: the more people can freely talk about the games they enjoy without being hassled, etc., the better the forums are. -------------------- Great Potato "Unless by the force of eloquence they mean the force of truth; for if such is their meaning, I admit that I am eloquent." -- Socrates Posts: 126 | Registered: Thursday, September 27 2001 07:00 |

1) He broke General by killing the thread (probably knowingly). I could care less about the thread. 2) The Kama Sutra is inappropriate for these messageboards, whether it's seen by angry 8-year-olds or septugenarian eskimos. EDIT: It's a two-week ban. Oh, and I can't forget the old favorites - Marathon and Descent. Marathon 2 is still the only FPS I've been able to play from beginning to end and still enjoy it. -------------------- Great Potato "Unless by the force of eloquence they mean the force of truth; for if such is their meaning, I admit that I am eloquent." -- Socrates Posts: 126 | Registered: Thursday, September 27 2001 07:00 |

Yeah, the first altered beast took a long time and lots of potions + Divine Aid to kill, and the big queen spawner thing was difficult as well. -------------------- Great Potato "Unless by the force of eloquence they mean the force of truth; for if such is their meaning, I admit that I am eloquent." -- Socrates Posts: 126 | Registered: Thursday, September 27 2001 07:00 |

The damage system is different for Avernum 2 - a greatsword won't really do much more damage than a waveblade, but in A3/BoA/A4 it will. -------------------- Great Potato "Unless by the force of eloquence they mean the force of truth; for if such is their meaning, I admit that I am eloquent." -- Socrates Posts: 126 | Registered: Thursday, September 27 2001 07:00 |

VoDT shouldn't have been much of a problem, since I beat it with a level 1 singleton (Divinely Touched and Fast on Feet) and ended up around level 17/18. -------------------- Great Potato "Unless by the force of eloquence they mean the force of truth; for if such is their meaning, I admit that I am eloquent." -- Socrates Posts: 126 | Registered: Thursday, September 27 2001 07:00 |

I like poison and exploding arrows. I don't remember if there are lightning arrows too, or if they're javelins, but those would be good as well. EDIT: Although personally I would just abandon archery and go for tossing razordisks instead. Well, it all began back in high school, with our crazy Ukrainian soccer coach, Gene Chyzowych. He's a renowned coach, who coached the US National Team for a while, and is also known for being completely incomprehensible due to his poor grasp of the English language. However, despite the appearance of senility, he knows a lot more than he lets on. He has a habit of making fun of people when they mess up. When they kicked the ball way over the goal on an easy shot, he quite often would exclaim, "Mamma mia, potzaroni, pizzabella!" Especially when the player had an Italian background. He thought he was being witty, but the players just looked at him askance and laughed at his craziness. So, anyway, that's the story of the crazy Ukrainian and his interpretation of Italian exclamations, of which the only words he knows are pepperoni, pizza, and mamma mia. There are a host of other crazy "Chyzowych-isms," all of which must be delivered in the piercing Ukrainian accent which he has made familiar (and ever so popular).
