For further clarification, the machine in the NW corner has the purpose of aligning the runes in the small building so that you can cross the room on those runes safely and meet Elhioc on the other side. It has no tangible connection to the barrier in any way. -------------------- Austrian Alex Posts: 1307 | Registered: Tuesday, May 7 2002 07:00 |

Unfortunately, my webhosting company flopped entirely and I'm still trying to find a reasonable hoster at a reasonable price for hosting the archive. At the moment, I'm thinking of just storing it on free hosts and later switching it to something more stable. If any of you have suggestions for good webhosting companies, please tell me. For now, I have most of the pages uploaded on the spymac server and I'm working on a website to get everything linked up properly. -------------------- Austrian Alex - Reality Corp. quote:From what I'm getting, you unzip the files into a temporary directory, but when you try to move the EXE itself, you only get a shortcut icon. In that case, right-click on the BoAEditor.EXE that was unzipped and click copy. Then, go to the data Folder in your BoA Folder, right-click on an empty space and choose Paste. If it still does a shortcut icon, then you either chose to copy the shortcut icon or your computer is acting up. -------------------- Austrian Alex Posts: 1307 | Registered: Tuesday, May 7 2002 07:00 |

Yes, just unzip the EXE by itself to the data folder and you'll be fine. Edit: Aiyee! Spelling mistake. [ Saturday, July 17, 2004 15:28: Message edited by: RC ] -------------------- Austrian Alex Posts: 1307 | Registered: Tuesday, May 7 2002 07:00 |

Question answered many times. When you download and unzip the editor files, take ONLY the BoAEditor.EXE file and put it in your BoA data folder. So if you access the editor, it'll be C:\Program Files\Blades of Avernum\Data\{EDITOR.EXE} That's on a Windows platform...not sure where to place it on a Mac. -------------------- Austrian Alex Posts: 1307 | Registered: Tuesday, May 7 2002 07:00 |

Could you perhaps actually have text in it? All I really see is combat. A plot would be nice, too. Also, the overuse of Magically Locked doors should be cut out. I almost had no spell points left after the first tower. You should also rearrange the town entry points and exit points. In the Vahnatai Wall, I could escape town by going north and then I'd be forever stuck. Your outdoors seriously need to be redone...all of your town designs and mostly everything. -------------------- Austrian Alex Posts: 1307 | Registered: Tuesday, May 7 2002 07:00 |

Make sure you only put the Blades of Avernum Editor program into the BoA directory, not the whole downloaded folder itself. -------------------- Austrian Alex Posts: 1307 | Registered: Tuesday, May 7 2002 07:00 |

I hoped that what I said would make you reconsider releasing the scenario...seems I was wrong. So, I shall give you one fair warning, so don't say that you weren't warned first: If you release this scenario, expect it to be reviewed by Desperance. That is all.
