If I'm thinking of the right creature, the spinecores are the ones that hurt you but the buds just sit around and recharge the main spinecore. So if you can't get rid of the spinecore in one hit, it'll recharge itself...so you might want to go after the buds first to lower its defenses.

Solid Table?! Yeah, it'll make the solid tables...when Napoleon comes back from the dead and takes over the world, while proclaiming this board to be conservative.

Seriously, I opened up the first town, and saw no difference in it whatsoever from when I first betatested the first version - the graphics are used very poorly, the priest is still roasting in the fire, and there are still thousands of other bugs that I do not care to list.

I have, and it did not work. Only way is by slimy and chewy or hard and crusty plagues only.

If you download new versions of Avernum and Geneforge from their site and ask them for a new reg code, they will give one to you. I believe you have to supply the name you bought the game with (the buyers name) but that's about it, I think.

This might help, though:

All the SW games work perfectly on my WinXP computer. Maybe it's one of those things between the Home and Prof. version?

You have answered your own question. Windows ME is a poor excuse for an operating system...so much so that more people would much rather have Windows 95/98 to be running on their computer. When I had Win ME on my computer, not only did most of the SW games not work, but mostly all other games that I had as well as some simple programs refused to work or froze up. If you can switch to a different operating system...do so. If you can't, try restarting your computer and running Exile again.

Even if you are banned, you can still login and read posts, just not reply or start topics. It was probably something amiss with the server/scripting process.

Have you tried using an HTTP download instead of an FTP?

For example, Exile 1 -
http://spidweb.com/ftp/win/exile20.exe
Exile 2 -
http://spidweb.com/ftp/win/exl2v201.exe
Exile 3 -
http://spidweb.com/ftp/win/exl3v10.exe

750mb space and 15gig transfer...free. Of course, I can never use up that much space or bandwidth.

Also, if you're looking at webhosting, you may want to look at some other features as well. For example, will you get any SQL databases or PHP/ASP/CGI scripting? Email accounts, FTP users, addon domains, etc.

quote:
a) 50 MBs
b) 500 MBs
c) 1GB
d) 1500 MBs
e) 2GBs
f) 2500 MBs
g) 3 GBs

Depends on whether it's per day or per month. If per month, don't even try to go for 50megs...you'll be down in one or two days at most. 1GB is good for a standard personal site, 2GB for a standard personal forum and site, and 3 gigs if you're expanding into something bigger.

I thought you would have known that there is a button in Draylark's office than opens up a pit in his bedroom. That pit will drop you into the tunnel after you defeat the Gargoyle Beast and get a fiery ring from him.
