If I'm thinking of the right creature, the spinecores are the ones that hurt you but the buds just sit around and recharge the main spinecore. Yes there are usually four small "buds" around a central pinecore. The buds restore health to the center plant when it's health gets low. Actually, I think the spinecores can absorb other spinecores buds if they have used all theirs up. The spinecore owning the other ones might have to be dead though. -------------------- "Damn Scots.
