OOC: nice character name LF. is he 5 years old? :P IC: Shadowclaw made the first strike, a powerful but slow downward slash. Wise Man easily dodged that and returned with several thrusts of his glaive, all of which his opponent parried. Shadowclaw faked a stab at Wise Man's left, then bashed him with all his power, sending him into the air. Wise Man landed on his feet, on top of a nearby roof and fired off two volleys of shurikens. Shadowclaw dodged the first few, and deflected the rest into the crowd below. "That was useless, like you in combat," Shadowclaw taunted. Wise Man returned with a smile. The two leaped into the air at each other and exchanged swift strokes in midair before landing again on opposite rooftops. Wise Man wasted no time in striking again; he immediately let off a Soul Lance, catching Shadowclaw off guard. Just as he was about to parry the spear of energy, Wise Man threw his glaive spear-style. His opponent blocked that too, but left his back open in recoil. Taking that rare moment of oppurtunity, Wise Man leaped off, sword drawn, and stabbed him square in the heart. "Never turn your back against a blademaster," Wise Man muttered in his ear before pulling the short weapon back out. The limp and bleeding Shadowclaw fell down off the roof. OOC: it better be the lance that protects him, not his personal skill. as an example, Wise Man (the character) is naturally nearly immune to both positive and negative magic (i said stuff about this a while ago in NSI, i.e. he can't be hurt much by a fireball, but it's next to impossible to heal him), but also lacks brute strength, and relies on Soul Energy to provide his power. all this because he carries a rare mutation in his DNA. by the way, i hate number statistics in RPs like these. -------------------- Urban wisdom is not actual wisdom. OOC: it can still be destroyed. undead does NOT equal invincible. IC: "Let's team up on GH!" Wise Man threw a volley of powered shurikens at GH's gun-arm, shortcircuiting and disabling it. He then charged, leaped into the air, drew his Blade, and sliced the arm off. He backed off to avoid being trampled. LF knocked the being high into the air with a large fireball. OOC: rematch, Sullust? Wise Man played Sullust again, on Lost Temple. Both picked random; Wise Man got Human and Sullust got Orcs. Wise Man chuckled. Wise Man, pumping out a good 8 footmen and and Archmage, beat Sullust to creeping most of the map. However, he managed to deliver a deadly Grunt/Tower rush with a Farseer for a hero. Luckily, Wise Man managed to put up a barricaded Guard Tower beforehand, so he had the time to do his own rush.
