Anyways, a satirical game like that, filled with all sorts of hidden references, (general and Spidweb-specific) and tons of Vogelite humor would be perfect. I'm sure that, if Jeff put his mind to it, he could make a hilarious game with an epic plot.

Got a link? If it requires no special software, I could use something to fill in the school hours.

Remember "Galactic Core"? That was a great idea for a game; too bad I never had a Mac to play it on.

Isn't that the weapon Colonel Mustard used in the library to kill Mr. Boddy? :P

I for one would enjoy finding out what it would've been like to beat Grah-Hoth to death using a rolling pin. :D

That's what stopped me from buying it fo a while. It was also because I was so broke at the time that I could barely afford a pack of chewing gum.

Since I *finally* bought it, I've been playing around with making custom weapons, including--as I mentioned above--a rolling pin, plus a shovel, a brick, a 2-by-4, and a wet towel.

The idea is that people would pay for the ability to play games made by others. I suspect BoA would have been more successful if a good user-made scenario was included in the free demo as a proof that players would get far more than just Jeff's 4 scenarios for their money.

Be careful with a word, as you would with a sword,
For it too has the power to kill.
However well placed word, unlike a well placed sword,
Can also have the power to heal.

You might not enjoy it though; after all, there aren't any ultimate mega-powerful swords for you to make... Oh wait, there's that one quest to make the Legendary Epic Weapon, but those aren't swords. There's a clan, The Spiderwebbers, for you to join, and you can contact me if you need any help.

Now now, children, you're just giving ET more anti-oldbie material here.

And here I thought you were devoid of reason, good to see you've learned something.

Now, have you considered jumping off a cliff? Or are you waiting for your friends to go first so you can follow them?

Don't worry Jeran, there's lots of other clans that don't know you yet. One of them's sure to let you in. Might I recommend the KoL Addicts? Friendly lot. Got their own forum to boot. And I do believe that they won't yell at you for telling them about your big sword whenever you want. They actually encourage gimmicks.

Edit: Oh, oh, I also recommend starting as a disco bandit. All the classes have their advantages but I found the bandits the most fun.

Moxie classes own muscle classes. My first run as a DB was easy. The Sorceress never touched me. Then, in my supposedly-good-at-bashing-stuff-Seal-Clubber run, I wasted nearly 60 adventures doing her.

Haha, that sounds so good, reading it back.

I'm putting in my vote for a science fiction game!

A galaxy with many different planets to explore would be cool....

or maybe you're a group of four astronauts, and you crashland on some planet and have to explore...but then how would you know the language? and what would happen to the old ship? hmmm...this making up games is harder than I thought!

Oh, or howabout dinosaurs! Did anyone else think the Whirling Thrasher / Chitrach Queen / Pit Crawler in Avernum 5 looked like a Velociraptor? Fighting dinosaurs would be fun!

RAPTURE will be out for BoA soon, and then you will have all the velociraptors you could never hope to have.

A bit. The arms and head are all wrong, though.
