Some of my favorite (non Spiderweb) RPGs are probably the Taskmaker games, Ultima, Realmz, and Cythera, not particularly in that order. I have no game consoles or compters that run windows, so I have'nt had access to many good RPGs.

I have one tamer char who is rarely played!
Mains currently are a paladin swords who is totally RP, a mage/tailor who is also predominantly RP: for action I have a bushy macer.

It's the rp that's keeping me there. Some really imaginative and generous players, as well as a few idiots who are best avoided.

some current fiction.

I'm playing Dink Smallwood and Exile 2 again right now.

I'm also playing Grim Fandango. This has to be one of the best games of all time.

The Neverhood was also pretty cool, though it's very old.

I'm going to try to change the topic a bit. I am interested in free games in general what are the best. Right now, I am downloading from http://www.freeciv.org -- I want to see how the civilization clone looks. There is going to be a new version of civilization-- civ 4 out soon which looks very good.

My favorite electronic ones were/are: on PC, anything by Spiderweb (no, not because I'm on their site), and on SNES, the Legend of Zelda, Ultima 6, Shadowrun and some others which I forget but liked.

A good pen-and-paper RPG is Traveller.

The sound of multiple Jared windows open at the same time is bliss. Or at least it seems that way - my ears were bleeding too much to tell what it really sounded like.

You know, you can get the same effect from a single copy of Jared Choir.

I got it and tried it out. It is pretty buggy so far, but plays pretty close to civ 2.

If you want to play Strategy games, it doesn't get any better than Europa Universalis II. Or if you're into to space, Galatic Civilizations.

TM has been banned since July 16th. He was banned for a week before that for profanity and insults after being warned to cease and desist. He didn't, and he still didn't after his ban ended. He will be welcome back in September this time.

—Alorael, who doesn't even recognize either of those two (?) games. He must be getting old. Or older.

Is this the first time TM has been banned? I seem to remember him being banned a while ago. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyways, conquests and PTW are expansions to civ 3.

He will be back in October, and he has been banned in the past as well.

Final Fantasy 7. Greatest RPG ever.

I wouldn't move any of the Spiderweb games on my top 10 list. They are great games, but to me they are more action/strategy than RPG.

Avernum 2 defanitly makes it into my top 10. And also I prefered FFVIII over FFVII. I think it's just because I played 8 first.
