I usually do check post counts occasionally to make sure I don't end up at the top of the list. Maybe Thuryl posted less last month, or maybe I was too close to the 1000. It's also likely due to having too much free time, but I start school on Monday so that may change.

Being that no one has told me off for it, I assume it wasn't all BS :P

Dolphin managed so post that much by being online on this forum mostly all day... which I confirm since I am online all the time and can see her name appear amoung recent visitors. :) And AM, do not start spamming, we haven't forgotten you. :P

EDIT: Hahaha, Dolphin posted just before me. :)

My name shows up all day because I leave the browser open all day. I do read through posts pretty often, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm posting.

Andrew Miller wasn't considering starting spamming. I was!

P.S. See, this is a kind of quiet spamming. I didn;t really NEED to post here, but I felt like it!

I checked various internet archives but couldn't come up with anything conclusive. This is certainly an exercise in selective memory, though. Freud would have a field day with this!

—Alorael, who appeals to all oldbies who remember those good old days of three digit post counts. Anyone remember the order? As long as it's being asked, Morgan was third and Saunders fourth, right?

The only thing I clearly remember is the DAY of ONE HUNDRED POSTS, which Morgan and I spent spamming up the IB. *Sigh*, the good old days...

The answer to your question: http://web.archive.org/web/20020220015421/www.ironycen tral.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000046&p=7
(Page 7 of Nephils v. Sliths topic from web.archive.org)
Look at the post counts of Morgan (1023), Drakey (904) and Saunder (939) who posted on that page.

While we are looking at Web Archive, here is the main page from November 21st, 2001:
http://web.archive.org/web/20011121074803/http://www.ironycentral.com/cgi-bin/ ubb/ultimatebb.cgi

The good old times... :)

EDIT: Although I personally prefer a slightly later snapshot: http://web.archive.org/web/20011205084001/http://www.ironycentral.com/cgi-bin/ ubb/ultimatebb.cgi ;)

EDIT 2: Page 11 of that topic show Alorael with 1170 posts and Drakey with 902.

So I guess the list of people to get to 1000 posts is:
1. Alorael
2. Morgan
3. Saunders
4. Drakey
(Although Sunders and Drakey could have been reversed by the time they got to 1000 posts.)

Can also have the power to heal.

Wow, I don't even remember posting that stuff. Nor do I think I'd allow myself to post such things anymore. When we had Misc it was good, but now all the Misc has left me...

I remember a thread called "The Black Wombat Rides Again!" or something, but I don't think I've ever actually seen a News In Exile post. Was that all in the Ikonboard days?
Also, Saunders, I still have my old accounts from way back in my Zeeqon5 days, if you want one of them. They're in the low hundreds, I believe. I remember thinking they were such high member numbers when I first registered them.
Wow, Drizern. I remember him. Lorekeeper too, but he's shown up occasionally since then. When was the last time he came back? And all the old names. Flocciwhatsis, T.T.O. Human.Who was calling themselves Mr. Wiggles the Worm? I forget. Was it TW? What ever happenned to TW anyway?

Banishment, I believe. Or at least I am fairly certain he was banished at one time, if it is not his current condition.

Well, I guess I was thinking of the ikonBoard.

TW wasn't banned - he just left.

I can't imagine that TM came much after me in the race to a 1000 - I seem to remember my posting spree was in response to TM being on something ridiculous like 997 posts, and me being in a mad dash to beat him.

My posting rate has dropped dramatically since then, mostly due to the constant exam season I seem to be enduring currently.

It only gets worse. Then again, exams were the only thing soul-destroying enough to cause me to return to these boards.

Although I did refrain from posting much during my exam week in mid-May, that had a whole lot more to do with my sprained wrist than any responsible behavior on my part. :P

My posting rate overall is just slightly more than 4 a day. It seems kind of low compared to what I've done lately, but that's what it is.

Oh, and Saturday will be my 1 year anniversary of joining the boards. That's a long time you've had to put up with me. :D

I was 3rd to hit 1000 on the iB. (First was Drakey and Stareye.)

I was first to hit 1000 on these boards. Or maybe it was Drakey.

Anyway, at no point did I hit 1000 "after" you.

In my school, the exams start tomorrow.

I didn't claim to post regularly. I only said that my posting rate increased slightly recently.

We just finished mid-year exams down here. Now it's three week's holiday and the ALL BLACKS THIS WEEKEND!

I wonder how many people here know about rugby.

EDIT: 1000, how nice. I don't think I'll ever get my member number though.
