For this kind of forum, the male-female ratio is too high.

Judging from past polls, the forum community is about 2/3 male, I think.

Well, I mean, most of us individually are either male or female, but the ratio of males to females is 2:1.

Compared to a lot of other communities devoted to computer games, 2:1 is pretty balanced.

Right now, we're running a 7:1 ratio in the poll. The girls must not be voting. :/

Saunders is a lady. But she has kids... woo her if you will, but be warned.

I love the word woo!

Anyway, the ratio is pretty good, if it is indeed 2:1. Most forums I used to frequent were mostly guy orientated. We welcomed just one female.

Although, I can't help but wondering why this is important. We don't use this boards as a kinda virtual dating agency. Or, at least, we shouldn't do.

Kel's been known to do so, and I'd consider it if I didn't live at such a horribly remote location.

Kel is sorta safe though because he already had a girlfriend before coming here...

I will say nothing and just wait for the people who were around at the time of which I am thinking to make fun of me.

No, I didn't. I showed up in February of last year. I didn't even meet Wizcozski until August.

EDIT: And heck, the very first thing Wizcozski and I bonded over was reading old Desp posts. We hardly knew each other at that point.

It's not really important but it's good to know. Besides, if you read my first post you would realize that the poll was created out of boredom. Personally, I don't think that there is something wrong on virtual dating (heck I have a friends that met their husbands online). Besides, we all live to far from each other

Distance is only a slight issue. If you really want to see someone it wouldn't be too difficult to figure something out. I have never personally attempted to have an internet relationship, but many I know have had good experiences with it. And I wouldn't be closed to the idea.
