Limitation 1: No custom skills. Solution: Create special items that act as special skills (sling use, leadership/charisma, etc.). When you gain a level in that skill, all of the items in your inventory that are of that type are upgraded a level. In my opinion, for scenarios with sequels there should only be one ending. That way you can pick up where you left off in the other one. I'm not a big fan of forcing someone to complete an earlier scenario to enjoy a later one. If they want to play the series out of order, that's their prerogative. I played Alcritas' scenarios out of order, unknowingly at first. Blades of Avernum will be, if I understand correctly, completely user-friendly and the designer will never have to touch code. This was done several times in BoE. After a timer or the death of the first monster, the second monster would replace it.
