The green medal is how many of my posts have been edited by moderators (the picture was my recreation the 'edit' button from memory). Both were given to me by Alorael, and my favorite was the time he used html code to cross out something I wrote before writing something else next to it.

I've actually been in four RPs now. But RPs are an accepted part of these boards, hardly worthy of giving myself a medal for.

THE LIST:
1: Stareye
2. Thuryl
3. Salmon
4. Alorael
5. Ephesos
6. Andraste
7. Nikki
8. Arancaytar
9. Kelandon
10. Randomizer
11. Archmage Alex
12. Synergy
I'm not all that sure how two or three of these people got on there in the positions they're in, but I trust my earlier judgement and will hold myself to this list.

What is it you do when in that position?
As a Township, the Board of Supervisors fills the roll normally held by that of a mayor. There are five of them and they rule over about 30,000 people. It's a part time job, so I would only really need to go to a few meeting a month to vote on things like a budget, special appointments, zoning requests, you know, boring municipal stuff. As a political science student, I'm already more qualified than most of the old businessmen already in the positions. Bastards.

Diki: Would you forgive me if I posted my List of People to Kill?

Oh, and I might as well take this opportunity to announce something else. I am officially a candidate for the Board of Supervisors in my local Township. Not the most prestigious position, I know, but an Emperor must start somewhere. I've been kind of busy with the paperwork lately, so that's why I haven't been keeping up with the RPs.

I don't expect to win against the incumbent (crusty old white guy #4), but I intend to put up a fight. At the very least, it should be entertaining, given my theatrical nature (I do wear my feathery hat to Township meetings). I'd love to tell you guys more about my campaign, but I think it best to not link myself to these boards in any way. Yes, a wise decision.

For the Concluding Resolution!

Alas, I celebrate my 2000th post, just to rebel against all the people who think it's cool to rebel against celebrations of post counts divisible by ten. The rebels have become the oppressors, no one is free of guilt.

As is tradition, a new flag of the Tullegolites to use for the next millennium of posts.

IMAGE(http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/1650/tullegolites3hy6.gif)

The traditional "T" has been replaced by my trademark feather, surrounded by DNA and some triskelions to counter the trefoils of the Shapers.

I would also like to take this time to reflect upon all my accomplishments. Thus, I present to you my medal case.

IMAGE(http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/1684/medalsyw3.gif)

The stars indicate the number of times the medal was awarded to me. By all means, use this thread to share your own accomplishments.

On my new title: I liked 'Champion' better, pity.

For the Concluding Resolution!

Talbot had been wandering through the Lush Wastes for weeks, yet he was unaffected by the land’s harsh conditions. His people were a hardy, resilient people. He could find water in the strangest places, eat the most bizarre plants and animals, and find shelter in the most inhospitable of locations.

What truly caught him off guard was the land he had come to. Vegetation had become more and more frequent as he traveled in the direction indicated by the Wise Witch. The animals grew softer, boasting fur instead of scales. The trees were bigger, and the strangest part of all was that everything was green. It made him kind of sick to his stomach, and he dearly wished for more comfortable grays and browns. The first people he met were farmers, lamenting over their strange crops. Since Talbot was unfamiliar with what they were growing, he did not understand why they were so disappointed. He tried some, and though it tasted awful and rotten, it was still food, which was much more than they had back in his lands. They lamented over their water, yet it was very similar to the urine his people often resorted to, and what was more, there was plenty of it! What a strange and bountiful land Talbot had come to. Were the people here so jaded as to not be grateful for what they had?

Talbot soon found out that he may never know, for the people there spoke a different language from himself. He approached the first people he saw, a couple traveling down a big road with all their worldly possessions. Were they fleeing from something? Talbot heard that people make war on other people in these lands, he had best be careful. He stood before the natives and inquired about the Spirits. Since they, too, were having hard times, surely they might know something about a possible cure.

*****

Heloise shook her head at the primitive man and turned to her husband, “Poor thing, it looks so lost and hungry. Can we give him something to eat, Abelard?”

Abelard cringed at the smell, the primitive was filthy and wouldn’t stop speaking gibberish, “No! Don’t give him anything, he’ll just keep following us around if we do that. Shoo! Get away from us, you beast!”

*****

The man spoke to Talbot in an irate manner, he didn’t understand. Talbot had been told that the people of these lands were very materialistic, perhaps they wanted something for the information? He didn’t want to give up his precious rocks just yet, so he offered them something he thought they would want more anyway: food. He pulled some dried meat out of his sack and explained to the people that it came from one of the best warriors his village had ever known, his predecessor. They should be honored to receive and eat it.

*****

“Aw, look, he wants to give us food! See, primitives aren’t so bad after all.”

Abelard was still suspicious. He spoke to the strange man slowly and loudly, “You… want… trade?” He offered a fish from their own supplies. “This is pointless, I don’t think he understands.”

*****

Talbot shook his head at the offered animal, some kind of strange oval thing with no arms or claws and creepy eyes, it looked terrible. The man seemed as confused as he was, but took the offered meat graciously. The man eventually pointed down the road. Talbot smiled, was he pointing to where he could find a cure for the Spirits? He must be! Talbot saluted the travelers and continued on his way.

*****

“Silly primitive,” Heloise folded her arms and tilted her head to the side.

Abelard began to move on, “Whatever, he’s Emerald Cliff’s problem now. Hmm, this meat actually smells pretty good. I wonder what kind of animal it’s from.”

*****

By evening Talbot had finally reached what he thought must be his destination. Just like the Wise Witch had said, the people here wore strange clothes, spoke strange languages, the buildings were made out of rocks, and some of the people did indeed live with beasts, strange four legged things with fur. Talbot was disturbed to see such a large village so empty. Where were all the people? Perhaps they were dying out? Tribes died out in the Wastes all the time. No one wanted to speak to him, however, no matter how hard he tried. They made him uncomfortable anyway, so he simply explored.

Then something caught Talbot’s eye. It was a child, but a strangely proportioned one. No, he didn’t look like a child at all, he looked… older. Yet he was much too tiny to be a normal person. Curiosity got the best of Talbot, and he found himself following the little man, trying not to disturb his and he made his way through the village. Talbot stopped when the tiny man entered a large building, seemingly filled with the village’s population. They must be having a meeting with their local Wise Witch or something. So that’s where they all were. Talbot grinned, surely she would be able to give him his next set of instruction regarding the cure for the Spirits! He entered the building.

Is there a specific bit of Obama's policy that you revere or are you simply enthralled by his rhetoric like everyone else? Hillary is actually about as stunning as any candidate has been in a long time, with her Washington experience and firm stance on the issues. Plus there's Bill.

I wonder what would happen if McCain picked her as a running mate. I'd vote that ticket over Obama easily.

Geneforge 2 Endings
Feels sort of wrong to post these, you really should play the damn game, but I post them anyway since they might be useful someday for reference.

The Awakened Ending.
Since Ellhrah approved of canisters in Geneforge 1, I used them to achieve this ending. It is slightly different if you don't, the serviles like you better because you are less arrogant.
Awakened 1, Awakened 2, Awakened 3, Awakened 4, Awakened 5, Awakened 6, Awakened 7, Awakened 8
The Barzite Ending.
A true Barzite always uses canisters. If you don't in the game I have no idea how it would effect the ending.
Barzites 1, Barzites 2, Barzites 3, Barzites 4, Barzites 5, Barzites 6, Barzites 7, Barzites 8, Barzites 9
The Loyalist Ending.
Since Zachary is sort of a traitor, I emulate him and use canisters for this ending as well to show how Shapers treat loyal servants that alter themselves a bit.
Loyalist 1, Loyalist 2, Loyalist 3, Loyalist 4, Loyalist 5, Loyalist 6, Loyalist 7
The Taker Ending.
To piss off the Shapers as much as possible, I once again use canister for this ending.
Takers 1, Takers 2, Takers 3, Takers 4, Takers 5, Takers 6, Takers 7, Takers 8
The Shaper Ending.
Not to be confused with the Zachary Loyalist ending, this is most likely what happens canonically. Here, I simply killed everything without using single canister. The Shapers would be proud.
Shapers 1, Shapers 2, Shapers 3, Shapers 4, Shapers 5, Shapers 6, Shapers 7
The Univeral Ending.
No matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, that bastard Ghaldring lives to spread terror in the sequels.
Damn You!

Fort Avernum

Sss-Kai removed his helmet and massaged the indentation it made in his forhead, “My Lady, should you not be joining your ssson on the sssurface?”

The Lady sat back in her chair and beckoned the slith closer, “How cans’t we tame our foes unseen above? The world below shall baulk no more, mine… friend.”

“Well, perhapsss I should go with him then, I would protect him far better than that Prussian fellow. He ssseems a bit shady to me, I do not trust him!” Sss-Kai put his palm on the table to accentuate his words.

“Mine gentle son shall save himself anon,” the Lady placed her own soft hand on his, “Thou must by me remain to stay assured.” She smiled at her humanoid friend.

If a slith could blush.

Pullo

“Here we are, Lord Angelo, my town, glorious Pullo. I was elected mayor right before coming through the portal. The people wanted a seasoned adventurer leading them in these times of chaos, so this all belongs to me. These fine citizens will serve-”

Prussian was interrupted by one of the town’s ‘fine citizens’, “Uh, yeah, about that. We elected James mayor while you were gone. We weren’t sure you were coming back.”

Prussian was crestfallen, “I was gone for three hours!”

Angelo looked to the sky, allowing the light rain to fall on his face. He had almost forgotten what it felt like. The young lord sniffed the air, it smelled like the swamp the town was located in, he pulled out an embroidered handkerchief and covered his nose with it before turning to Prussian, “Forget this place, once your loyalty to the Lady has been proven, you shall have much more than this humble burg.”

Prussian gave one last angry look at the new Mayor James and led Angelo and his entourage North, out of the town towards the docks that would take them to Gale. On the way there, the restless soldiers were more than happy to butcher few snaked to take care of the island’s rampant snake problem, gaining the loyalty of the local villages. Soon, the Lady’s banner flew over every city on the island.

Angelo and Prussian boarded a small boat that would take them to Gale. Only a few soldiers were able to accompany them, but Angelo assured Prussian this was all they would need. Besides the men, their only cargo was a carved wooden box that Angelo did not let out of his possession for a single moment. Prussian filled Angelo in on the rakshasi incident during the ride, and the young lord listened while nodding his head. “You say they’re all gone, at least?” Prussian nodded, “Excellent. This will actually benefit our situation. These people will be all the more willing to fall right into the Lady’s iron embrace."

Fort Dolthar

Master Krynt was wandering across the beach of Dolthar Island with one of his many apprentices when he noticed the small fleet. A dozen or so skiffs, each carrying a bunch of soldiers. The lead ship flew a white flag of truce, but Master Krynt remained cautious, “Apprentice, go and get Denrich, and have him bring help. Quickly now!” The lead ship made landfall on the Disciples’ island, and Edward himself disembarked. “You come unannounced, and bring an army? Excuse me if I am skeptical about your intentions.”

Edward quickly scanned the island, noting the weak defenses. “They are my personal guard. Think nothing of it. I’ve simply come to assure your allegiance to the rightful rulers of Avernum. You’re leader is our prisoner now, and so we demand full access to your magical knowledge as well as the military service of your mages.”

Master Krynt did not so much as flinch, despite Edward’s magical necklace, “You will have nothing of the sort. The Disciples are an independent faction aligned with the Kingdom of Avernum. I suggest you leave before you cause an incident.”

Edward was enraged at this mage’s insolence. “You are making a terrible mistake, mage. It may very well be your last.” Edward placed his hand on the axe concealed beneath his cloak.

“Master Krynt!” Denrich called out, a squadron of mages at his back. Master Krynt turned when his name was called, giving Edward his opportunity to burry his axe in the old wizard’s back. Denrich was horrified, “Noooo!”

Edward pulled the axe from Krynt’s back, and the mage collapsed into a heap, “Hmm, I was wrong. Turning your back to me was the last mistake you’d ever make.” Dendrich, preparing the quickest and easiest spell he could think of, fired a bolt of fire directly at Edward’s face. It found it’s target. “AH! MY ****ING EYE!

Seeing their leader fall, Edward’s soldiers attacked. In seconds, Denrich was a pincushion of arrows, taking down only a few more soldier with his magic before expiring. The rest of the apprentice mages fled inside, where there were quickly hunted down and murdered, one by one.

Fort Avernum

When the Lady received word of the successful attack upon Fort Dolthar a day later, she immediately ordered for Acrio Sulfi’s execution. Sss-Kai was dismayed to discover that, somehow, the arch-mage must have known about the attack, must have felt it or sensed it somehow. Acrio had disappeared the night before, most likely heading south to the Kingdom to seek asylum. The slith was disturbed to see how unconcerned the Lady was about this event. She ordered Acrio's remaining guards murdered in his stead, except for Erika. The young mage had managed to escape along with her master.

You're both right about the Crusades. Muhammad and his descendants were indeed conquerors who took those lands and forced the residents to convert. The Crusades were started as a campaign to protect the right to pilgrimage, but since they were lead by ambitious individuals, they turned into bloody political conquests. Don't forget all the jews they managed to take out on their way to the holy land as well.

Never heard of it. Checking out your link, the Oscar nominations impressed me, then I found out the best actor Oscar went to the white guy in the film.

LT: Eddie Murphy is also responsible for one of the biggest box office failures of all time. I'm surprised you, as a racist, failed to acknowledge this.

Higher Game: If these movies are going to be successful no matter what, why not throw some non-white leads in there? The answer is clear.
