Unfortunately, it is difficult to take a 700 page story and fit it into a nice 2.5 hour film. Also, movies are stronger in certain areas where books are weak and vice versa. Action scenes are generally stronger in movies because of the visual components. Detail is generally better in books where berevity is not as important. I do not blame the producers for exploiting their strong points and diminishing the weak points.

Thankfully, no SPEW!

Of course it would be possible, there are few things that are impossible to code. Either way, it is not going to happen, too much cost versus demand.

At any rate, this topic was dead a week ago...casts 'Dispel Spirit'.

Horses/boats are not treated as creatures nor items, but as a special object in and of itself that is placed by scenario scripts. Also, we do not have the capability to edit spells, despite our desires to do so. Jeff doesn't "trust" our ability to do it, sadly.

Avernum Seasons in The Avernum Trilogy

That and no one has worked out the celestial orbits of Ermarian.

One can assume an axial tilt roughly equal to our own because of the seasons. What puzzles me is Evermoon implying very long nights, but it lies at the end of winter. This Implies their winter solstice is near the end of the winter, which I am not sure is entirely possible.

Empire and Rememberance could imply historical events. The Empire was probably founded in the month of Empire (Empire 1st in likelihood) and Rememberance was probably the end of some great war.
