So therefor I thought I'd ask here for help, because maybe has the same problem as I have, ans knows the solution. EDIT: problem solved. ignore this message. I'm exactly doing what the others do. The graphics have the same number as in resource ID they once had. I have put them in the scenario folder, that sits in the BoA data folder. The program itself sits in the BoA data folder, were it belongs. The names of the graphics are G(number).bmp. The exact eror description: "BoA was unable to find or load graphic 503." After this an other error comes up: BoA editor just failed to load this graphic: sheet 503, icon 3. The editor might have run out of memory, but, more likely, the grphic wasn't there" (or something like that). maybe this will help more then the other descriptions I gave. If nothing helps, I mail everyhting to ef. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! Still busy with "where the rivers meet." It doesn't really work out with the custom graphics I made. Anyone who knows a solution or can help me, I posted my questions in the Blades of avernum editor forum, look under the topic "orb of Thralni." -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. I put them in the main folder of my scenario, error. I put them in the data folder, error. I really don't understand anymore what to do! OK, I did that, they are on the PC. Now, how do I get them in the cmg file of the scenario? The game wouldn't recognice just some lose files, would it. This question is just to bug you Kelandon, but, if you come from America, shouldn't you be in bed now? (what a irritating question this is!) I'm living in The Netherlands, so its about 10 am. EDIT: I have loked at other scenario's and understand what you mean. Thanks for the advice. (By the way, you don't have to answer that question above!) :P [ Monday, June 27, 2005 23:14: Message edited by: Thralni ] -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Although I think that a movie of Avernum would be quite nice, I don't think I would watch it to often (if it can be made). A game is a game, and because this is an rpg, and therefor everyone would have his own way of playing it (One first goes to Almaria, other visit the tower of Magi, others just get themselves slaughtered...), I think everyone would probably get annoyed about the way the party in the movie will travel and were to, in which order. Actually, a movie of a rpg, is just the way the director would play the game. Others may find that stupid, others not. -------------------- Thralni's almighty Avernum pages: My webpage, containing scenario's and graphics made by me (And maybe someday the homepage of the almighty chicken gods). What I'm trying to do, is now I'm probably going to work with the remake version of the editor, I also want windows to recognize the graphics I made. So di I only need to convert the graphics to BMP format, and then make an other CMG file with the new BMP formatted graphics with resedit, or do I have to use a comletely other program then resedit? -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Hi, Just wanted to say I aleady begun working on "where the rivers meet" a few weeks or so. I already heve a plot and made much of the scenario, but I'm still working on sidequest. I want every quest and piece of information you get, to be in a way part of the story line. That is a big envestment in my scenario. This is probably a really stupid and unnecesarry question, but what the hel do I care? I'm no trying to convert the graphics I made, so they work on windows. The problem is, I already don't have a clue how to get windows to recognize them, as I made them with appleworks. If someone can give me or give a link to a step by step tutorial or something, that will be great. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. My first knowing about spiderweb, was at a site for downloading game demo's. There I found Avernum 3. Because on the site there were such good reviews and such, that I just tried it. I found it very good. After that I played in this order: BoA, Avernum 2 and Avernum 1. After that I played Exile 1, 2 3 and BoE. -------------------- Thralni's almighty Avernum pages: My webpage, containing scenario's and graphics made by me (And maybe someday the homepage of the almighty chicken gods). Although your question is answered, i thought you might also want to hear this. I tried it, but had problems with the 3D view. I could press tab until dooms day, but nothing happened. I downloaded it from the link, given on the first page of this topic. I also downloaded the editor from the scenario workshop. I soon discovered that the files were exactle the same, so I just copied all the files of the scenario editor with the 3D view over the other files. Maybe I made a mistake while extracting, maybe I just pressed the wrong key. It just occured to me I don't have the 3Dwinreadme.pdf.
