The guard who meets you when you first arrive asks you to check out for some rogue serviles in the woods, when yu talk to him just outside the inn. The servile keeper gives you another quest if you answer his questions in the right manner.

You can make Hodge angy enough to attack you, which means you can then kill him, I don't know what effect that has on the game though. He gave my level 60 Guardian 30 xp :D

When I was playing as a loyalist Shaper Alwan did alright,
once you get him his acid dripping sword and a mass Energize then he can really take things out quickly, and a Major heal every few turns, mind you I also had to powerful creations with me also.

I checked speeds on all creations, thay all ran like bullets except for the Drakon, Rotgeroth,Gazer and their respective advanced forms. Ah well no matter I'll just stick to my maxed out Ornks :D

Intresting note, when using the super start file my fyoras and ornks moved as fast as myh gardian but my Ur-Drakon and Eyebeast moved at normal speed

This is a good point, in GF1, Sulia(?) Island was inhabited for research only and we're told research creates many rogues necessitating having livestock that can defend itself. GF2 was set in a harsh land that had only recently been made easily habitable so shapers would use ornks, livestock that they can modify to suit the conditions. I think GF3's Ashen Islands would use ornks due too the difficulty of transporting livestock long distances, particularly by boat, I feel the shapers would simply shape all the ornks they needed for the first colony when they arrived. I think none of the game setting have had other livestock because it was more efficient to use ornks.

A setting I think would be cool is the colonization of a new continent. You could play a team of trouble shooters sent by the empire to help out.
This scenario gives the opportunity to build things like houses and could have item creation as a more important aspect of the game-play, perhaps as a means of self support.
It could have internal strife because some settlers are from Avernum.

Item Recipes in Geneforge Series

Hi

Just finished G3 and was trying to make all the items on the forges, and saw the recipes topic, so now i've got a few questions :)

1) Where do you get a Ur-Drakon Skin, I killed the one below the monastry but got a normal Drakon Skin :confused:

2) Do you get told these recipes:

Jeweled Wand - Stick, Gemstone, Perfect Drayk Scale, Spray Crystal.
Wand of Death- Stick, Gemstone, Eyebeast Eye, Mandrake.
Wand of the Inferno - Stick, Gemstone, Drakon Scale, Demon Bile.
Swarm Crystal - Gemstone, Mandrake Tincture.
Madness Gem - Gemstone, Beautiful Crystal, Eyebeast Eye.

Or do you have to find them out on your own (Or get them from the hint book)?

3) Is the exact recipe for the protecter of all given in the game?
