Profile There was this time in high school where some jerk said something to me and I couldn't think of a comeback and so then like 4 days later I thought of one and saw the kid in Bio class and said "Easy there" so he hit me. The preceding post reminded me of that fake anecdote. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Profile All this fussin' and feudin' would not be happening if those medications were paid for by the consumers, rather than indirectly through medical insurance. Isn't that really the issue here? Would a desire to take medication, or the attached feeling of improvement be a little different if out of pocket expenses were 1000% higher? -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Profile I'm no doctor, nor do I portray one in off-Broadway stage, but wouldn't these exotic genetic maladies persist in the population if the effects are treatable? It would seem to be in the best interests of the species to let things like this not continue and to self-direct the evolutionary drift that is always taking place. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Profile I have learned, through sources available only to members of my supersecret, ultraselective society, that the latest audit of government shows that it is incapable of duplicity due to two factors. Sheer size. Complete stupidity. When one hand doesn't even know where the other hand is, or even if it is, in cfact, a hand, it has a low probability of managing a convincing alibi. There. You satisfied now? I didn't want to have to go waving around my huge membership in this society, but you tested my patience and now I've done it. Hope you are happy. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Profile I thought Rome was polytheist prior to Constantine losing his skull on his deathbed, and those gods were not mortal. In any event, there is no evidence in the E/A series that there is a state religion. I don't even recall religion mentioned other for the practical reasons (priests vs undead). -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Profile quote:Yeah, just because you haven't read them, doesn't mean they don't exist. Only after our crack team of fact checkers, proof-readers (okay, not so good at that), and continuity providers have had a chance to read several Episodes ahead do we get around to releasing them to the flithy hippies. I don't even watch Star Trek. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |
