Someone said that if gays were truely Christian, they would become heterosexual. This view point has caused much pain and suffering. When a gay person "converts", s(he) is really just hiding the fact of their gayness. Then, to prove to their religous leaders and family, they get married to the opposite sex. The attraction never goes away, and eventually they lose control and have an affair with a a person of the same sex. A long, painful divorce happens, and its even more messey if kids are involved. So by convincing gays to "convert", priests are causing much pain and suffering, which leads to adultry, which I believe is in the commandments. If God hates gays, I don't think I'd enjoy spending time with him.And the point of my post about Pope Urban II is that obivously this guy accepts Jesus, and after doing all these awful things, he still gets to go to heaven? What a place. Also, why did God need to vreate us in the first place? If he were perfect, he wouldn't need us. And if he were all powerful, how come he couldn't make the devil disapear with a wave of his metaphysical hand? Alright, this topic is a Spider Web Game Contest! Each person who posts will name the game that they think is the highest quality overall. Note- This is not your favorite game, but the game you think has the highest quality and provides the best experience for the most people. Best Game- Geneforge 2 Why: Geneforge 1 is my personal favorite, with Geneforge being my favorite series. However, G1 wasn't polished, it had only 3 spells for each class of spells, with the sects being there to be milked, without really affecting gameplay otherwise. G2 adds more features and streamlines them, and making powergaming the sects much more troublesome, with the sects offering you more and affecting gameplay more. So you are saying that a comepletely evil person who believes that by killing and destroying people that he is doing Jesus's and God's will will go to heaven? What a place to be if that guy is in their. Pope Urban II started the first and second crusades, the first one being where huge amounts and knights and muslims died, and in the second one they send children anywhere from 10-15 to die because the knights didn't want to do it. Does this man deserve to go to heaven? Also, if all Christians feel the holy spirit and follow god, then why are their so many dissagreements? Why are their so many different churches? You say you only have to believe in god and Jesus to go to heaven. Accoording to some christians, gays go to hell. This is said in the bible. Do you believe that the people who are challenging you should go to hell. Because according to you can only go to heaven if you believe in Jesus. Do you believe that disbelief is a big enough crime to merit eternal punisment. Also, you say that the bible is literally true and that all of it is correct. In one passage, women who wear pants should be stoned to death. What I've noticed is that in the bible, as time progresses and records go from nonexistent to reliable, he shows up less and less. He talked to Adam and Eve in person. He later showed his back to someone. Then he talked through a bush to Moses. Come to think of it, he's talking through another Bush. The thing about religous doctrine that supposedly comes from god or Jesus or Mohamed is that it is all unprovable. There is no definitive proof for the bible's, torah's, or quoran's statement of anything. I first found Geneforge from RealArcade, which is a program you can download that gives you a wide selection of games to puruse. I remembering playing G1 for the first time and being in awe of how much fun I was having. I promptly gobbled it up. Then came G2, and I devoured that one as well. I tried to go to Game FAQs today to check out a Geneforge 3 walkthrough, to discover nothing. How is this? I find it hard to believe Christian Doctrine because of the hypocrisy of so many Christians. Example: Priest: Today, I wish to focus this sermon on tolerance. About Ben's comment, where he said the universe couldn't possibly be made by a mortal being? Well, I read a very interesting book about god and physics(I'll explain how these two go toegether.) Using scientific laws and studies, the book concluded that if there is a "supreme being" (It did not say if there was), that its body would be made of the universe, and we, humans, would be like individual cells. There is something in it for Christians though. It helps create a sense of security and affirmation of their beliefs by a subconcious thought if "I must be right, so many other people believe it." Just like oftentimes the person is telling the smoker to stop because of the smell, not out of concern for the smoker. Also, I am not that into a religon that says "believe or burn." It sounds a whole lot like propaganda to me. I am not disputing god or Jesus. I have problems with organized religon which seems to have a tendancy to be self serving and needing of affirmation, by say, converting, or puting evolution out of text books. -------------------- Most Important Questions: Why does one sock go missing?
