Slarty got it pretty good. It's not like the whole Jesus thing was a non-event. Adding thousands more Jesuses (Jeses? Jesii?) isn't a trivial thing for theology to accomodate. :P

As I understand it, 2001 was meant to be a vision of the next stage of human evolution, and this is probably clearer from reading the book. That said, I've neither seen the film or read the book, so don't take my word for anything. :P

I'm calling false dichotomy (quadchotomy?) on the visions of the future selection, though.

Fun and rewarding for those who are in the field because they actually want to teach. :P If you're doing it because you want good pay and short hours, possibly you wouldn't find it quite so fun and rewarding.

Skilled labour jobs are probably your best bet if you're after a high pay-to-time ratio.

Really, I think experience/training as a character improvement mechanism is very overpowered. My dream RPG would involve no training at all. Power boosts would come from equipment (and even that not so much) and allies.

Watched it last night. I have to give the Finland band props for having fun and not taking themselves too seriously. But really, for all the fierce looking make-up, that barely deserved to be called "hard rock" at all. I was expecting some blistering metal.

Lithuania was hilarious. "We are the winners! Of Eurovision! VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE FOR THE WINNERS!"

Germany doing a country and western song took me by suprise.

I thought France's entry was the best by far, but then they only got 5 points. Do I have no taste in music at all? :(
