Thank you for taking the time to mention this, but I just recently posted that same SDF in the FAQ/Walkthrough thread, and somebody else posted that before me somewhere else. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Since the spacing/tabbing was mentioned… My scripts will not work if I use tabs. I get "invalid symbol in line X". If I take out the tabs everything works fine. Leaving lines separating each call, but having everything touching the left margin works as it's supposed to. Existing scripts work with the spaces/tabs, but my scripts will not allow it. Any thoughts why this may be? I'm using Simpletext, if that has something to do with it. I like the combined ideas of the fact that they stay away form the acid pools, there may be Golems designed with a slight resistance to acid, the platforms may heal them, and breathing of toxic vapors in generally more harmful than the air touching the skin (which for Golems seems to be only somewhat permeable.) My condolences to all Londoners. CNN says that the bombing was in retaliation to the war in Iraq by a currently unknown terrorist group, but they were being somewhat vague. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Please try to use better spelling and grammar, so your posts are easier to read. Hawk King's GF2 editor is likely what you are looking for. [ Wednesday, July 06, 2005 16:40: Message edited by: Dolphin. ] Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

A couple good places to get an introduction to scenario design are the Cookbook and the Scenario Workshop. Also, look through the scripts of existing scenarios and see what others have done. Edit: Another very useful site is Kel's links page [ Wednesday, July 06, 2005 15:29: Message edited by: Dolphin. ] Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Sip006's is a very good and complete editor. I wouldn't recommend Hawk Kings (sorry). His editor gives you the Summoning Orb, which triggers the Lord Rahul encounter. I've told him a few times, and it's posted within that thread, but he's yet to update it. Edit: Fixed rushed typos. Greta and Alwan are pretty helpful for early levels, and they are useful for later levels more or less. If you play as a Guardian or Shaper Greta's magic is a nice addition; Agents do very well going solo. Greta and Alwan are like having creations that require no essence and will always be reborn, so I find them to be worth the XP. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Going too far east is not a good idea early on in GF1, as the Taker Serviles will attack you.. I don't know why those Serviles are attacking you after you pay the toll, but I've always just attacked them. Try going to other nearby areas until you have gained a couple levels, and try the bandit Serviles again later. Since you have been playing GF3 you are likely getting some feel for the game, right? If one area is too hard, try a different one and come back later. If you can't get past the Serviles just use exitzone to get you to a safe place. I didn't even get that far; I loaded the game and couldn't do anything because the picture went beyond the screen, so I thought I would try changing the resolution so it would fit. I'm on a 20-inch monitor with the resolution at 1024 x 768; I changed it a couple times and ended up at 1344 x 840, and it was still cut off a bit. I don't know why it was doing that, but by then the print was getting too small to read. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

No, you don't get to see the Geneforge in the demo, and I am amazed that the reason is still unknown. [ Tuesday, July 05, 2005 14:10: Message edited by: Dolphin. ] Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |
