Usually a nice crystal growth would take a least an over night. For certain copper complexs, it can take longer, especially when your hydration is off.

The Japanese "Self Defense Forces" (gotta love McArthur for that name), spend the third largest amount (only Russia and the US spend more) in the world for defence. They have the most well equiped army in the world, and some toys that rival the secret stuff the US has. You ask what? A lot of hunter killer subs, a good-size air force, with modern US jets, a surface fleet that dwarfs the neighbors, and a huge number of Tanks. The size in men is small, only around a quarter million, but they have a mobile, well equiped force that could threaten the Eastern Pacific. (It's weird to think of it as the Eastern Pacific, considering it is west of me.) They have no long range capabilites and aren't interested in much beyond what is needed for peacekeeping. They have it as mostly a defensive, don't mess with us attitude. This is needed if you consider most of their neighbors they have been at war with for a very very long time over all of recorded history, and the neighbors would't mind striking back, if they could get away with it. (That is of course, impossiple due to the US presence on and near Japan. Striking Japan would be sucidal for any nation.)

JF, the point I am making is Canada is turning to the melting pot effect.
The melting pot is what will kill racism. The US is probably the best nation in the world when it comes to racism, but really, there are huge issues, which the melting pot will fix. The salad bowl theory of multiculturism says that assimilation is wrong, but the truth is tolerance is most acheivable thru intermarriage. European conflicts, some full of huge intolerances, are pretty much extinct in the US due to intermarriage. The intermarraige is so strong, that many Europeans don't get it. Me, myself, am aboout 1/4 German, 1/8 English, 1/8 Scotish, 1/8 French, 1/8 Irish, 1/8 Swedish, 1/8 Native American. If you look at me, I look German, but if I tell Germans my ancestory, they are shocked. Most nations have strict senses of culture and ethenicity that the US lacks, because of that, we are able to deal with race better.
My plan to deal with race, intermarriage until all of America is a shade of Tan.
Not gonna happen you say? Ha. It is happening. Hispanics are a peak at the future, most are mixture of Spanish, Native and Slave blood. The 'whites' are a;; ready mixed with the natives, now intermarriage between blacks and whites is increasing, while most asians I know are either pan-asian, or part white. That is how racism will be solved I feel, by breeding it out of US.

The FCC in General

The FCC regulates airway broadcasts first and foremost. Their job is to insure that the limmited amount of airspace on am and fm are used in the best way. Major urban areas face leakage issues, where multiple stations can play on to close a band, interfering with other stations. The FCC was formed to keep this from happening, and controls broadcasting permits to keep radio viable. They have been given broad defination to control what is defined as in the publics best interest, perhaps too much. I agree that the asinane decisions the make can harp on my speech, but only my word choice, not my message. Swearing is not necessarly a right I have on air. Swearing also offends often the customers of the radio and televison stations.
And finally, TV and Radio are companies. Corporate free speech is an oxymoron, and the supreme court has ruled that corporations do not have the same free speech rights as people, and thus can be more restricted then individuals.

And TM, the Constitution lets people make there money, it isn't anti-buiness, it's really quite pro buiness, but pro-individual run buinesses. And I remind you that more than a few leftist have pissed on the constitution too. It's more of a problem that many groups like selective viewing of it, like some 1st amendment groups I know and some 2nd amendment groups I know.

Canda has the size force they need. They share only one real border, with the US, a nation that has been very friendly for over a hundred years. They are small, only somewhat active in the world, and changing due to immigrants to a more melting pot as the multicultural system starts to fad and intermarrige happens more and more. (that's the differance between Canadian/European immigration and US, the good old boys aside, is slowly merging into a new single ethnic group and over coming those who want ethnic purity.
Of course that aside, the Canadians are really more powerful then we give them credit. They are part of Nato, which gives them access to the best weapons and training, but they are also part of the commenwealth and Norad. It wouldn't surprise me if Canada was Nuclear.
There is one other nation forgotten as a military power, and that is Japan, who is ready to rule the Pacific again. I for one, will accelerate my studies of Japanese so that when they come, I will be able to be valuable to them.

Iraqi aftermath in General

It's too late, way way too late.
Rebuilding Iraq is reality.
Saying for the US to leave today is to live in a fantasy world.
How do we fix things now is what Sir David is saying, how do we do it?
My 2 cents is to start a process to bring in UN forces with America as the lead force. The United States will still be the primary forces, but bring in others to ease the load, free up troops for Liberia and provide additional security for engineering forces. I also want a Mashall style plan, one that keeps Iraqi Oil in a PROPERLY managed trust to provide for the Iraqis, while our funds go to fix the infrastructure, insure food supplies and clean up any possible environmental issues cause by the war. As full the pull out time table, I suggest a few years, possible as few as 2, or as many as five as a democratic government is formed and resistances are taken care of. If you were to compare to ww2, you have a much quicker timeline, perhaps one that is overly optimistic, if you consider there were hold outs of Japanese resistance until the 70's.
I think this is a good path, but if you have a better plan or good critism with alternatives, I would find it informational.
Would, because I have been playing gf2 all evening and was the first to registar it.
So, later folks.

And the inbreeding of the Icelanders due to their being cutoff helped too.
Anyone know when they reestablished contact with Europe?

LF, if easily broken applies, then all computers are at risk.
Besides, new floppies are very very good.
Zip disks alone hold 250 megs, an are old tech. I have some in a lab that are about 4 gigs.
CDs, or more and more, dvds, are the dominant storage medium. They work well, and with better cr-rw, can replace normal discs. Their cheapness is improving and if put in a case, are robust.
The future is shorter wavelength lasers, and then something better that's almost ready. Crystals. 3d cds more or less. It's orders of magnitude more storage.

Umm, yeah. We have a lot of space to go.
Files won't get much smaller due to the code restrictions, but, if programming langauges change, it might be possible to get it stable.
As for more space, oh there is plenty.
We don't need no stinking gamma rays. They are very far down, and having them ignores Violet and Ultraviolet which on the lower ends, could allow for an order of magnitude more than Blue. Of course this ignores changes in amp control. That could also do an order of magnitude.
That is out growth of existing tech.
We can do better.
Like 3-d.
Processors are mostly flat. So are storage. Adding more dimensions of growth could cube the hundred fold increase. Thats a 10^6 increase.
Without going quantum.
Trust us. We will be there by the time a terabyte processor exists. What does quantum mean?
Nearly unlimited.
Computers have a while yet to go. You can't use that as an excuse to tie down everyone else. So just wait a couple years and buy a current system and you can play all current games for a fraction of the price.
As for data transer speeds, the bus is plenty fast, so fast few use it near capabilties. That is, if you are on firewire.
Don't worry, be happy. IT's gonna get better.

Oh, and I have only been to Germany, France, The UK, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Denmark, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Gutamala, St. Maarten, and about half the states. I once drove home from Mexico, in one day. That is about 2/3 to 3/4 of the US in that day.
Guess I win. For now. I know there are more out there. I haven't even gone to Italy yet. Not to mention my desire to see the Baltics and Balkans.
Soon enough though, I shall have enough saved to go to Japan, and bum around Asia.

A. DBZ is barley anime. It essentical became a sentai after the writer wanted to stopped, but was forced to continue.
B. DBZ sucks, it's presence hurts real anime.
C. You mis-spelled Hercyule which is not his name anyway.
D. Naruto could take the entire series down.

Its even more when you release that the vikings seized chunks of France, making them the ones who the English Nobles are desended from. For instance, Everyone named Rogers is desended from a viking who first conquered some med isles, then moved to Northen France, where his decendeds helped Norman take England. Most Nobles are like that in lineage.

The big question is there absolute wrong and right? Is it all gray? If it is all gray or completely subjective, then all conflicts are moral from their own sides. If there is in fact absolute morality, then the wars can be immoral.
When faced by either of those questions, you have to decide whether or not it is relative morality or your interpretation of absolute morality.
