Actually that's a bit more coherent then what I normally get. I've 'trained' them to watch cartoons in the morning, but I'm usually interrupted every commercial anyway. Just another reason why simple posts can take ten minutes or more. Everytime I'm interrupted I lose my train of thought and have to catch the next one. :P

My pet peeve in BoE is the money cap (and the bug that goes along with it). I enjoy picking up everything I can get away with taking to sell but once you hit 30000 the 'excess' is dropped and if you go too far over when in a selling spree it turns to a negative number which really sucks. What does Jeff have against being outrageously wealthy anyway?

OK, you're closed-minded. :P

Edit: And I can't bring myself to leave it at that so I'll expound on my own preference. Most everything, save heavy metal. Jazz, swing, blues, rap, hip hop, and big band I can appreciate to a point but after ~4 songs of the genre, I need a 24 hour break. As long as I can sing along (or hum along as may be the case) I can go for just about anything.

Sit her down at the computer, point out the game, and tell her you want it so much you're willing to work for it. You said she enjoyed E3, too, right? She should be more then happy to let you earn it, considering she won't buy it for you.

Are you kidding? Seeing what TM has to say about just about anything under the sun is way more entertaining then playing his scenarios... :P

Besides, I'm starved for adult(or at least comprehensible) conversation. Plus the sanity-lacking breed that Spiderwebbers are tend to be quite knowledgeable and thought provoking, and those who are not usually do not last very long.

I consider you all my friends and most of you probably know more about me then the friends I have here. (a few of you probably know more then you should and/or ever wanted to) ;) I should probably try to socialize more, but there's not much I can do with 4 kids in tow.

I doubt I will ever catch up, but hey, that's what I get for taking ten minutes to think about a simple congratulatory post, changing the text four times, and still wondering if it's even worth the posting...

Barely, but it will do.

Last minute repentance and forgiveness does work just like the theif on the cross next to Jesus, but there has to be a genuine change of heart. God knows whether or not you 'mean it' and if you don't mean it, it doesn't count. There's also always the possibility that a person's death will be so sudden that they have no chance to make the planned last minute confession. imho Most who go through life with this plan won't have a change of heart when they follow through, but still anything is possible.
I don't think there will be a chance of repentance after death if you've already heard the gospel. For those who haven't heard... ? Maybe.

Do you have the demo for E3 and need to register it inorder to use the character editor? That would make more sense.

There are lots of ways to earn money. I got myself a paper route in grade school. Lemonade stand is a classic (though I don't think it's ever brought in much in reality). Offering to do yard work for the neighbors. If you're involved with a church, offer your general services to the congregation. Tell your teachers your trying to earn some money and see if they have anything for you to do. Basically just ask everyone you know if there's anything (within reason) that they'd pay you to do for them. (Just use your common sense for what you agree to do. ;) )

The only difference between 'cows' and 'cattle' is that the latter may include steers and bulls. This doesn't seem to add anything to their capabilities other than mating. Big deal.

Some of the less domesticated breeds of cattle, such as those you'll get up in Queensland, do not stand around grazing in meadows. This is partly because of a complete lack of meadows, but it is quite true that they are much more active than the typical Jersey/Friesan/Hereford. On the other hand, these aren't the breeds that get locked up in small areas.

In my mind the difference between cows and cattle is in their product. Cows produce milk and are bred, fed, and housed for that purpose. Cattle instead are grown for slaughter. At least this is the difference I see, whether or not it is the one eluded to by Drakey I can't say.

imho if you're not 18 yet (and you don't look it by the photo thread) then it's not up to you whether you get an x-ray or not. That should be up for your parents to decide since they are responsible for your care and since they will be footing the bill.
(that's the way we do it in America anyway...)

The doctors here won't do anything without a signed consent form anyway. Too worried about being sued.

I feel so inadequate to comment in this thread but felt like butting in.

IF we were to ever run out of usable water, energy sources would be the least of our problems. I don't buy that we will run out of it anytime soon. Fresh water is always being replaced by rain and can be replaced by processing salt water. We will use the same amount of water on crops whether we plant more corn for ethanol or use the land instead for other crops. I would like to know what source you have that we're gonna run out of fresh water in the next 50 years.

By that deffinition I guess you could say I believe in purgatory as well, what with the long line I envision waiting to recount to the Judge everything I have done in my entire life. But I picture everyone waiting through all recounts so we all eventually get to heaven at the same time when all the judgements have been made. I realize though that this is pure speculation. I am probably most offended by the Catholic Church's stance that purgatory is fact when there is no Biblical proof for it. Now if they were to say "This is what we think, but the Bible doesn't say" I'd be less hard on the religion.

I have heard that the people that died before Jesus died on the cross did go to hell unless they had properly offered sacrifies for all of thier sins, which was very unlikely, if not impossible. However, I have also heard that we Jesus died, he gave everyone in hell a chance to accept him. This seems weird, unfair, and unlikely, and it really does. But that's what I've heard; it could very likely have been different, but no one will ever know.
Actually ben, I've recently discovered a verse in the Bible that says that no one(revise to no believer in the Abrahamic God) went to hell until after Jesus's death. Give me a minute(or 20) to look it up.

Edit: OK, Romans 3:25,26 "God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished - he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus."

It's a bit different from no one going to hell before Jesus but not being a scholar this is how I understand it: Before Jesus' death those who had faith that God was going to send a messiah were not punished for their sins even if they died before doing the proper sacrifices because of their faith, just as those afterwards are saved by their faith that Jesus is the messiah. Children would still be considered innocent as they don't have enough understanding to believe in God, and any who had never heard of the God of Abraham fell under the same umbrella as those who have never heard the Gospel. You alredy know my view on those.

Also, I would not be surprised if there were animals in heaven for the simple fact that they are all wonderful creations of God.(well maybe not the mosquito) The Bible does not say so we are left in the dark. May I entertain the thought that those animals that show compassion and understanding are actually angels in disguise? Or that they are showing these traits only as an extension of God's will for them to do so?

I know I have real trouble posting without substance. I have cought myself many times just deleting what I was going to post because I didn't think it worthy enough. Which is probably why 63 posts in a month seems stageringly high to me.

Need an example? In the BoE forum somebody asked about Tatter, I started to reply with look at my site but decided mid-sentence that it might be too much a shameless plug. So I decided to wait to see if someone would answer the question specifically, and they did while also mentioning my site. I got free advertising without the shameless plugging by waiting. Best of both worlds. Now I get to go over and offer a link since it was left out so my post count suffers naught. ;)
