Merry Christmas everyone! If you frequent the Lyceum or my website you already know that I've made a gift just for you. The new BoE graphics archive Pixle Profusion is up and boasts ~3680 graphics for your viewing pleasure. Linked to from TrueSite homepage for your convenience. It contains all of Koth's Archive as well as everything else I could find on the web, all sorted by category. Feel free to browse, download, or submit new graphics. If you see any errors or know the artist for unknown graphics please let me know, I'll get it fixed ASAP. The largness of the package is no longer an issue. I upgraded the website so I could host the graphics archive and have 400MB to spare. I was just using their free package which is only 15MB total. Now that I am renting the space I'd rather fill it up then let it go to waste. I welcome it with open arms as always. When I'm done putting up the graphics pages(should be done tomorrow) I'll start putting up your previous packages as well. Happy 1st Anniversary to TrueSite for Blades On September 10th, 2004 I announced the opening of True Site for Blades with her main focus, the Comprehensive BoE Walkthrough database. A far cry from comprehensive on opening day, it was at least a place available to bring everything together. Today it's still incomplete and ever under construction but the growth is very visible and the future looks bright. I've decided to celebrate by digging up some of TrueSite's most interesting stats. And I know you all love stats so without further ado. General Website Total number of page views: 13,297 _It's not really that much when considering it's one view per page per IP per day but I think it's note worthy to say that less then ten of those views is from myself since yahoo doesn't count my IP and I've only logged on a few times elsewhere. Total number of pages: 361 All pages have been visited at least once (except for one new one) and 84 pages have been visited only once. All those that had only one hit were visited on either the 22nd or the 23rd of August by someone with Mozilla 1.7.5 and Windows NT 5.0. Page with the most views: Index (home page) with 1608 __Second most views: My Little BoE Page (Warning before BoEWalkthroughs) with 827 followed incredibly closely (considering I didn't add it till May) by BoA Walkthroughs at 702 Scenario with the most page views: BoA Canopy Manufactured Womb - 192 _Second - BoA VoDT - 144 _Third - Adventurer's Club 2 - 125 _Fourth - BoA Bahssikava - 113 _Fifth - DoomMoon II - 103 Hey, look TM, you won first! And with an eight month handicap besides! :P If anyone wants to know the specifics for another scenario just ask. Total # of walkthroughs - 61 BoE, 4 BoA BoA Focus The following are more detailed stats and interesting facts for BoA. While BoAWalkthroughs has 702 hits, it's companion page My Little BoA Page has only 415 hits which means that 287 times someone either used a bookmark, search engine, or other direct link to get to the page. All who used search engines used Google and 78.93% used keywords 'blades of avernum walkthrough'. Working off of BoA Walkthroughs, August 2005 had the most monthly visitors at 211. June and July tied for second at 155 each and May took third with 152. The day with the most total page views was Saturday August 6th with 17 people logging on. The last day with no views was Tuesday August 2nd. Most people who visited (45.89%) have a Mac OS X operating system, while 42.45% used Windows NT 5.1 Most used browser - MSIE 6.0 (37.16%) BoE specific The following stats and interesting facts are about the BoE pages. Based on My Little BoE Page, the month with the most views was August 2005 with 129. The only other month with over 100 views was September of last year when TrueSite opened having only ten less then August. The day with the most visits is Tuesday August 9th with 14. The last day with no visitors was last Tuesday, September 6th. 39.34% of visitors use Mac OS X, while 25.35 % have Windows 98. And 42.03% of visitors use MSIE 6.0 as their browser. The letter A is the most frequently visited with 370 hits beating all other with a wide margin of 130 hits. The letter D is second with 240 and R is third with 211 hits. In dead last comes letter Y(X ommitted of course) with 64 and only the yada's to support it. Home Page specific Highest monthly page views - July 2005 with 217, June had 187 and September '04 had 180. Lowest monthly page views - Feburary 2005 with 41 Average monthly page views - 121 Number of views in August '04 when site was just for my graphics (I know I have to get them back up)- 46 Most views in a day - Wednesday July 27 with 18 Last day with no views - May 31 '05(though 7 hits were recorded for BoA Walkthroughs) Most used browser - MSIE 6.0 - 37.82%; 2nd Mozilla 1.7.5 - 26.18% Most used operating system - Windows NT 5.1 66%; 2nd Mac OS X - 20.29%; 3rd Mac OS - 9.29% Well that wraps it up hope you enjoyed these tidbits and here's to another bigger, better, year at TrueSite. PS. One last thing. In the time it took me to type this up, 11 more page views had been added to the total. Edit: Well it's 9/10 here anyway. After putting up many updates this month including a notation on the list of scenarios for which has what(That doesn't sound like a good explanation, take a look if you're confused.), I've become dismayed at how bare BoA is. Only three scenarios have a walkthrough, and nine have nothing for help at all. This request is aimed mostly at the designers since they already know all the ins and outs of their scenarios but any player is welcome to help. I'd like Hint Sheets, Outdoor Maps, and Walkthroughs of as many scenarios as possible. If you can help, please do and thank you. Edit: I don't own BoA or I'd get some stuff myself. Hip, hip, horray! Good job for you! I like your nosy art. Muy bonita! This for me will be a measly 300... a tiny drop in the bucket to the likes of you. Pero no es importante. Were you going for a Tex/Mex theme when you made it? Because that's what I first thought of. Hannah fell asleep after hours of walking through the forests. She had eatten a few berries and edible herbs along her way but she had still gone to sleep hungry, cold, and quite uncomfortable without a bed or pillow to sleep on. Fortunately for Hannah, a hungry ursagi was also wandering in the same part of the woods. It decided to eat her. Hannah's misery was quickly ended while the animal had a descent meal of her. -------------------- Forever Always on Past the End tracihedlund@charter.net TrueSite for Blades - Blades Walkthroughs Pixle Profusion - BoE Graphics Archive Posts: 563 | Registered: Tuesday, July 27 2004 07:00 |

I have played the Avernum demos and I disliked the 3D graphics. IMO It takes away from the detail you can include because in the same pixle space you have to leave room for shadow and depth. Some of the new effects are cool but for what it is, 2D is enough. Secondly, I couldn't get the hang of the directional interface. I'd end up stepping away from monsters instead of attacking them giving them a free shot. Up should be up^ and that's all there is to it. -------------------- Forever Always on Past the End TrueSite for Blades - Blades Walkthroughs Pixle Profusion - BoE Graphics Archive Posts: 563 | Registered: Tuesday, July 27 2004 07:00 |

You have to remember the type that play the game, too. First there's people who are still in school and if they have a job it's for spending cash. Next there are people who are out of school but haven't quite gotten out of the 'job for spending cash' rut. Then there's a big jump where people realize that if they want to make money they have to spend their time doing more productive things then play computer games or replying to forums. And on the other end of the spectrum there's people who have lived their lives, saved their money, and now have pleanty of time on their hands to play games with. (This group is small though) A few scragglers may not fit but these are the basics. I'm right on the edge of the second and third category, actually I've already made the realization, I just haven't changed my behavior because of it. -------------------- Forever Always on Past the End tracihedlund@charter.net TrueSite for Blades - Blades Walkthroughs Pixle Profusion - BoE Graphics Archive Posts: 563 | Registered: Tuesday, July 27 2004 07:00 |

That was absolutely brilliant, Alec! So poetic, I laughed, I cried, I was repelled and intrigued at the same moment many times throughout. The Spatula of Arthritis is an RP(role play). This is for talk about it so that the thread isn't bogged down by OOC(out of character) stuff. Makes for better flow when only the IC(in character) story line is in the thread. -------------------- Forever Always on Past the End tracihedlund@charter.net TrueSite for Blades - Blades Walkthroughs Pixle Profusion - BoE Graphics Archive Posts: 563 | Registered: Tuesday, July 27 2004 07:00 |

Hannah couldn't believe her terrible luck today, and the blasted sissy-ninny fool she was being because of it. All men were horrible, there was just no two ways about it. If they didn't want to steal your possesions, they wanted to use you in some other way which was almost always very unplesant. Now here she was in the middle of the woods with an incensed man, bow taunt, above her and a ravenous wolf staring at her out of the woods. As they had waited, Hannah had backed up against the tree knees up feet in. She had secretly untied her ankle but knew if she tried to excape he'd probably just shoot her instead. She hated being helpless. Her eyes focused on the bandit whose life ebbed away as the pool of blood beneath him widened. Was today to be her last day as well? Did it really matter? It's not like she had much of a life to go back to anyway. Collecting herbs for her aging aunt was a bit of a bore. Thinking back, she realized what a waste her life had been and vowed not to return even if she lived throgh the current circumstances. Hannah was pulled from her thoughts by the wolf who had become more bold by her lack of movement. Letting out a growl, it lept from the cover of the forest sprinting straight for her, teeth barred. Hannah screamed and shut her eyes tight. She braced herself against the tree waiting for the end. A twang, a yelp, a thud, and the moment was over. The archer jumped from his perch above her, his sourness gone, he openly rejoiced at his catch. His back to her he surveyed his prize caring not for her. 'Not that he would,' she thought to herself. Hannah stood and wiped her eyes, she would learn to be as hard hearted as the man in front of her. Leaving her bag, her herbs, her life behind her, she turned to leave.
