I suppose you would have to do without useless posts and statistics of who spammed how much. Now that would be a tragic loss... :o

But you could wring a good ten more posts out of slowly revealing the trick, Thuryl!

—Alorael, who finds that the trick to concealing spam is to have a signature that artificially makes your post longer.

I'd reveal my tricks, but I clearly have none. I hardly have any posts, let alone large amounts of hidden spam.

Edit: Interestingly, I was told today that spam is supposed to taste oddly similar to human flesh.

Wow, I am falling rather far behind. I find if I was to actually come to these forums every single day, I'd be a lot higher, but as it is, I skip a few here and there, so...

Add 1 more.

Since thinly-disguised spamming and instruction in the English language both seem to be in fashion at the moment, I'm going to criticise your failure to use the subjunctive mood.

lol!

In Ben's defense: could we say that his mistake can be gingerly hovered over, forgiven even, if we consider posting in these forums as a form of informal speech?

(I was tempted to steal Alorael's signature to make a comment on my wet dream to see English turn into a more heavily subjunctive language, but I believe that tempting Him in such a way would be a rather bad idea.)

Alorael, how low have you sunk? Having to resort to posting "lol" in threads that are already about spamming?

How the mighty have fallen!

If you post 400 “I posted again” posts it wont give many bragging rights.

i would never do that that would be annoying and it would make me look foolish and like a complete idiot. you would never say that would you ? and i never saw the fun in punctuation marks and all that jazy stuff but as i have said before i will try a little

EDIT: the reason i usually forget punctuation marks is because when i type i have to type as fast as i can before i forget what i am typing about and sometimes i type it in so fast i skip letters and junk so it just never ocurs to me to put in punctuation marks and for the record you are right most people born after 1990 are untrustworthy but man that is kind of insulting how would you like it if i said everyone born 'before' 1990 are old geezers with fake teeth who only talk about the good old days so lay of the insults okay :o anyways i really am trying to remember punctuation so there

Spring, the keyword was "unobviously", ignoring the fact that it's technically not a real word.
hawk king, I notice that although you've said you were going to try before, you still haven't improved at all. Why should we trust you this time?

He IS probably born after 1990, so trusting him, like trusting children, would never be a good idea anyway.

I know I have real trouble posting without substance. I have cought myself many times just deleting what I was going to post because I didn't think it worthy enough. Which is probably why 63 posts in a month seems stageringly high to me.

Need an example? In the BoE forum somebody asked about Tatter, I started to reply with look at my site but decided mid-sentence that it might be too much a shameless plug. So I decided to wait to see if someone would answer the question specifically, and they did while also mentioning my site. I got free advertising without the shameless plugging by waiting. Best of both worlds. Now I get to go over and offer a link since it was left out so my post count suffers naught. ;)

To Hawk King:
I would not directly call you an idiot, as it would be unkind. Considering your 1990 comment you must be 15 or so. There is no excuse for lack of capital letters or punctuations marks. All computers have a typing program of some sort. The spelling and grammar checked would be useful. You have said you would work on that, so trust is questionable.

I was born 1984, and I'm glad to say no false teeth here :D

19 in three months, so it's obvious that I'm born in 1986. And yes, I feel like an old man... At least I can drink beer and, in a few months, buy it.

Same here (twenty-one in a little over a month!), and my pearly whites are impeccable. I've got a single white hair sprouting out among the crowds of jet-black ones on my head, but in general the ravages of time show themselves with more subtlety. My liver has been rapidly aging this year, I should imagine.

I still think you're an alcoholic, by the way. Did you know too much drinking has a 28% chance of causing partial paralysis?

If all youngsters were to plead age as an excuse to turn down the joys of proper writing, no one would ever learn to write properly! There might be no subjunctive or conditional moods ever again!

—Alorael, who doesn't have fake teeth. He has no teeth at all! Sure, it makes talk about the good old days difficult, but he can still mumble to himself about how great it was before there were cars on the roads and bright electric lights ruining the night sky.

You don't need teeth to drink cold hard Scribbane though :P

And yea, I'm old. I have a beard and glasses. I take public transit to downtown just to get to class unlike the lucky rich kids that happen to be 80% of the population in the area I live in who get to either drive to school in their BMWs or get driven to school in a Benz.
